Hidden Gem in the New Forest
This course really is a great challenge and is in superb condition. Putting greens were excellent and fast and all areas of the course were maintained to a very high standard. Will most definitely be back!!Reviewer Rating

Challenging, enjoyable, recommended
I've played here a few times, in differing conditions. In the sunshine it is a joy to look at, with views of the Wiltshire countryside for miles, especially down the first fairway. Some very difficult holes, with a good mixture or risk vs rewards shots to tempt you.Very well kept, neatly maintained bunkers and super fast greens.
I visited in mid December this time, and parts were pretty waterlogged along the fairways, but the greens were all running really well and true, although they are suffering from the perpetual problem of unprepared pitch-marks. Otherwise very good.
Halfway house is excellent and very welcome. Starter is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Didn't really see much of the pro-shop and bar area due to Covid. Higly recommended overall.

Lovely course
Greens are exceptional. Some nice holes but also some nothing holes. Looking forward to playing again. COVID got in the way of us experiencing the facilities but looked nice enough.Reviewer Rating

A great challenge
A great course. You need your 'A' game to get a good score. Some very challenging, yet memorable holes, but all are interesting requiring a selection of shots off the tee. The greens have been in great condition the last few times I've played. 'The Beast' is a great challenge! Very good value for money.Reviewer Rating

Great course and atmosphere
Excellent course, some really interesting holes (2nd and 10th being my favourite). Al the holes have their own challenges other the par 3 4th. it feels like its been added just to make it up to 18 holes, offers nothing and its totally featureless.Greens were superb, best ive played on for a while. The double green nearest the clubhouse is awesome. Nice mix of hole type too, a few 'tee it high and let it fly' type driving holes and combined with plenty that the driver needs to stay firmly in the bag to stand any chance of a decent score. Staff are really friendly and helpful and the food was great.
Only downsides were the lack of indication off the tee where to aim on some blind tee shots and the par 6. there needs to be a pole to know where to aim. They could also do with a hitting net to warm up in. Other than that i cant fault the place. Excellent day.
