Quirky course not as hilly as some say

Fantastic course and well worth adding to your list to play. Super friendly venue and excellent layout with some great views across the moors.

When I played the greens were superb and conditions throughout excellent. There are some lovely holes and some quirky holes and this is a course that will provide fun and a challenge for all golfers - it is also a course I would love to play again with a few blind shots which you immediately learn you should have played differently.

I particular enjoyed the par 3 6th with its elevated tee, the short par 4 7th which is downhill and almost driveable and the tough quirky 8th hole with bridge to stop you having to cope with part of the hill. The 8th was the first time I noticed the hills and after that it was long forgotten for me.

The final stretch is also nice with a linksy feel with the heathland heather. Get this on your must play list !
