Open, but why.

Don't get me wrong. Being open meant I could get a game in. However with all the rain lately the courses are still open with buggies and trolleys. The buggies are skidding on the fairways and cutting them up. All other course I have looked at are carry only. Must be the ???? sign.

Terrible condition, first rate dump!

Not only does playing here give you the proper zigg, it actually does your game. First time I've ever seen a course loss their greens BEFORE THE GRASS HAS EVEN STARTED GROWING!!!

Tee off at 12.45 on Saturday ?28 for the round, greens had been hollow tinned just over a week ago, which is fair enough ,but not cutting them isn't.They bared no resemblance to the practice putting green which had been cut. 3 tee boxes are not in use, so you tee off the fairway. ?28 play at 12.45 is a bit steep when virtually every other course in the area gets cheaper after 12pm when you couple that with the shabby condition of the course you are left with a feeling of being ripped off. After this experience myself and the rest of our 4 ball chose Toot Hill for our Sunday round: only ?25 teeing off after 12 beautiful greens, excellent fairways the whole course in pretty good nick. How golf should be and at an unbelievable price compared to Hainault

Speechless!!

I grew up playing this course, and love it, and the members that play at the SEPARATELY attached golf club. What the tenants, and the council owners, have conspired to do to the atmosphere, and conditions of this course, is a disgrace, they have managed to kill anything about the venue. Absolutely no-one goes there. If you want to be grunted at by ignorant staff, play on greens that are slower than said staff, where everyone has moved on to somewhere better, then this could be for you. I'm not really sure why I'm bothering to write a review, as the small minds that police this place delete and complain about any negative reviews, which sort of represents Hainault pretty accurately. It is unfortunate that I can't upload photo's to better inform readers of the real picture.

1 star is too much.

Some greens were non-existent so the ball just ran through them and some were too thick so the ball would stop dead on some putts. Tee boxes were hacked and on numerous of occasions found my feet sliding into a pot hole. They have let the grass grow on the fringe and the fairways and it now looks like a barley field. I wouldn\'t normally leave this harsh of a review but charging £30 on the weekend pushed me over the edge.

Awful condition

I have played both the upper and lower course numerous times over the past 15 years and have always felt both could do with a bit of TLC. Having played the lower course today (19th Aug), I can honestly say I’ve never seen the course in such a bad condition. The tee boxes bare and hacked to bits. The fairways unevenly grasses, covered in divots. The greens were bald, cut up and where there was grass, slow due to not being cut properly. The pace of play was ridiculous. Over 5 hours for a two ball. If your looking for somewhere to play... go spend your £29 elsewhere!

Don’t wast your money or time

Played it today first time for 4 months, the worst condition I have ever seen the course in 25 years.
A complete dump the greens have hardly any grass on them the t boxes are like a cabbage patch, staff are rude, don’t bother or waste your money. Such a shame they have ruined the courses

Membership is disgusting

The owner is terrible. He has gotten rid of 7 day adult and senior memberships. He has also gotten rid of the junior membership. Subsequently, he has risen the 5 day membership prices by nearly £300. I would highly recommend that you do not purchase a membership until the owner comes back down to planet earth and realises the effect that he is having on people who play there on a regular basis.
