The greens were a bit patchy and the fairways have stringy vines poking out that can catch you out but overall the course is in a decent condition

Greens well watered, fairways very dry. Drainage work has started so a couple of the holes have been shortened with temporary greens ( not the best). Still a fair test for high handicappers.

it is not a bad course at least they have re done the greens close to the sea it"s a sort of inland links course club shop nice price for a round is 22.50 not bad value but have played better courses forthe money

First time for twenty years or so that I've played here and it's still much the same. The politest way I can think to describe it is 'no frills' golf. It doesn't offend in any way but doesn't do anything exciting either.
It's probably about the most straight forward course you're ever likely to come across and for that reason has always had a reputation as a good beginners course. That's absolutely fair comment but beginners shouldn't be put off the game by thinking this is as good as it gets.
Still, as the first 'full size' course I ever played many moons ago it still holds a bit of a soft stop.

The course itself is located next to a busy dual carriageway and industrial estate complete with on course burger van. Not a tranquil golfing experience!
No clubhouse although there is a pub across the carpark that is OK. Driving range and shop are worth a visit but the course is then a disappointment in comparison.

lots of repair work going on on the greens at this time of year, can make game less enjoyable. Excellent shop with helpful staff.
