Beginner’s Course
Great for those just starting out in golf but overpriced at £18 afternoon weekdays. There is a Driving range but poorly maintained.Theres also a chipping area but it’s the worst I’ve EVER seen .Cut grass is left to compost on fairways after cut and many fairways displaying no grass at all in key places, greens 3 out of 10 (holes, weeds and ball bounces everywhere!) Cafe van on 9th rarely ever open and looks like a dumping ground in places with plants growing out of abandoned gravel and dirt piles .
If u enjoy the golfing experience and like good value then Southampton Golf club, Dibden purley,Crookhorn,Tournberry(hayling island) are all far superior courses with much better kept greens and fairways all with scenic surroundings .Sadly this course has been poorly maintained for over 20 years with little to no investment and it shows.
Summary :great if in the city and just starting golf , daytimes the course is empty so no pier pressure or unwanted spectators , minimal lost balls as very forgiving and short ,good confidence builder/training course but if u enjoy the whole experience golf has to offer my guess is u will be disappointed.

Once only
OK, so it's late November and teeing off of mats might be acceptable. What isn't acceptable however is the winter price of £22 for 18 holes when the fairways and greens do not appear to have received any care for months. The noise of the nearby busy roads is a constant and the view beyond the course is OK if you like 1960's industrial estates. In fairness, if the course was looked after then there are some enjoyable holes. But there are lots of other courses in the area that are much better value for money at this time of year. And to wrap up, there was no rake in the 18th Bunker which was the only one i went in all day!Reviewer Rating

and we teed off at 6.55am, when the gentleman came for our money we were charged £22 which is very steep considering we had to tee off on mats that must be 20 yrs old at least and the course is not in good condition at all , I think that Portsmouth city council should start spending some money on this course to bring it up to a good standard.

Its ok but a little messy. Rubbish Struan around. Fairways need attention. Luckily i didn't go into the bunkers but they didn't look nice at all. Greens were ok.Reviewer Rating
