Previous round the greens had been tined and dressed but today they were much better, not quick but not slow. Some challenging holes and long par 4's, plenty of trees to drive into but many generous fairways if you are accurate. Bunkers have rakes and enough sand in them. All in all the course was in good order and is well kept. Midweek round cost £16.00 electric buggies are £12.00. Great value for money and a course to visit again and again.

Please take action, before its too late!!!
Played here Friday. Have played this course several times before and like playing it...but going downhill fast. Been hit and miss over the last few years but on Friday I have never seen it so bad which is a crying shame as it is a very nice course.entrance drive to it doesn't help. Not very inviting as you pull in and many pot holes all the way down to the club house.very welcoming staff ( but looks like they are rushed of their feet practically doing everything).no pro shop.practice facilities in disarray. Even has weeds in the fake grass on the practice putting green!!!. Tee boxes OK. ( maybe a little long). Fairways cut well but big lumps of grass cuttings everywhere. Semi rough way too long. Struggling to find balls in it. No sand in bunkers more like hard-core!. Majority of greens diseased!. Even have a feature of a burnt out tractor on one of the holes!!!!. As I said early it is a lovely course. Not boring ,challenging and well laid out. But can someone take responsibility for the state of the course. I know funding may not be there so maybe look for outside investment before it becomes building land...I know it is used as a wedding venue but that doesn't look too appealing these days. The potential at this club is unbelievable with the correct people in charge. Please take note of this review. I am only being honest and hopefully somebody will take note...BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!!Reviewer Rating

Great Layout, Awful Condition
In reality this course should have been closed on the day we played, but i recognise that they need to earn some sort of income. Charging ?25 for a course covered in ice, snow and swamps was a bit rich ... but ... I love the layout of the course and as we were 12 players (3x4) we had some great company to keep the golf banter high and the round enjoyable. If this course had some investment in it, it would be one of the best in the area in my opinion and 20 years ago I remember playing it with announcers on the tee and great food. It is nowhere near that now, which is such a shame. We will return in the summer, in the hope that the course has had some TLC and repair work done.Reviewer Rating

Big course worth visiting
The Grange is a big course with long holes and quite hilly so you need to be relatively fit as it can be tricky being a local its very good value you need to learn the course to improve...(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 17.4)

much improved
Played grange park last year and was in a poor state.... played today and this course has much improved, looks like a little more care has been taken in into its upkeep. Some fine tuning, ..,example ....bunkers a little more sand and tidying up,and it would be one of the best and most challenging courses in the area. Well done grange park, and well done to everybody concerned. Will play the course again without hesitation (hopefully better next time) +very nice coffee and homemade shortbread.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 101 Handicap: 14)

Tricky and quite long
Undulating, twisty and quite long. If you are errant off the tee you will lose balls. Challenging course with decent facilities - not bad value for moneyReviewer Rating

Mick
Now i am a keen golfer and i have player some courses over the years. I have travelled up from the south on business and saw this course as a good option to try.The weather was fine and sunny i was looking forward to the round...
Listen up folks.
THIS COURSE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! WHOW! This is a gem of a course. There are some iffy reviews, these focus mainly on the greens. These were decent (i play at a course in Essex often cited as the best greens in Essex. If they get a 10 these were about 7.5/8. Perfectly playable a true role) when i played.
But the course. G's this is a beautiful verdant mature Parkland Course. Nearly every hole is unclosed in mature 100 year old plus tree lines in stunning order. The holes play up hill down sweeping doglegs, long and short par threes. Tight but fair fairways. (And the fairways and rough ever perfect when i played.) The course takes you on a woodland journey ( not 9 in one direction and 9 back). If the front 9 was not special enough. The final holes, what a finish.Take a drive down there and you go between the 1st and the 8th to get to the clubhouse. If that doesn't show you your looking at something special then nothing will. Check google from the air 3D view for an idea. Club House was smart well stocked and warm. Its long of the back its great, no two holes are similar, theres water to clear, folks in short its a bobby. And Grange GC, thank you. Handicap 10

A great course being ruined by lack of investment
I grew up playing Grange Park and used to love the course. The course offers a real challenge and there are some very interesting holes. Unfortunately, when i played yesterday with a friend to whom I had recommended to course I was embarrassed. The fairways need cutting, the bunkers are almost all out of action with no sand, the tees are poor. Greens were ok though. What a great shame that a potentially great course is being allowed to deteriorate in such a way. Shame on members and staffReviewer Rating
