Best courses in the region
The improvements made in the last two years at the Gog Magog golf club are substantial, returning the Old course to an open downland venue, excellent for running golf where players can enjoy the challenges of all types of shot rather than always reaching for the lob wedge and pitching on the green.Playing the course just before the famous national amateur Lagonda trophy it was in excellent condition with the greens running smooth and fast. The short holes are the pick on this course and the unusual greens at the 8th and 11th make for an interesting challenge. Since the massive clearance program that removed most of the hawthorn that chocked parts of the course the views are significantly improved as well as the health of the course caused by the improved airflow. The best comes over the closing stretch with the signature 16th offering the best vista and a chance for long hitters to show their prowess. When you reach the clubhouse don’t forget to look at the Lagonda winners board in the dining room and compare your score with previous winners and world number ones Luke Donald and Lee Westwood. Needless to say ....they beat me, but I enjoyed a great test of golf.

Lovely course
Played the Wanderley, supposed to be their second course. Really nice course. Plenty of room, but enough hazards to catch the unwary / sloppy. Greens in really good condition considering the weather. Some fabulous views when you reach the top.Hoping to go back and play the Old Course in 2018.
Excellent service in the clubhouse. Extensive practice facilities.
