Excellent test of golf, course was in great condition, greens were perfect but very hard to read, lots of three putts will be common on this course. A true test of links golf at its best.

Played this course on just after the Open Qualifier in July 2014. The pro and staff were very friendly and wecoming. The weather was kind and the course is an absolute gem with greens that are just fantastic. Look forward to returning at some point in the future. If you enjoy links golf do not miss this one

Championship standard course with genuine links layout. Unpredictable runs on the ball and intimidating bunkers. Excellent greens.
Not a course for high handicap players unless very determined.
Owned by the Glasgow Club - one of the 'name' courses in the area. The fee probably high for this reason.

Played late afternoon in April. Course deserted and weather beautiful - should have been top notch golf really, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the experience. Maybe because I was expecting dunes, sea/beautiful views and wilderness and the course is the opposite of that. Pretty flat for a links, couldn't see the sea and not that many truly memorable holes. Still it was well maintained and we were nicely welcomed, but you kind of expect that for £80 a round. I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time - or maybe it was because my golf stank...I'd give it another go because some courses grow on you.
