Played today in a society, course in superb condition all round, greens rolled very well, some small testy approahes, the par 3s all a good test, a very enjoyable parkland course with a few streams, lots of tree lined fairways. Clubhouse very friendly with an excellent menu. Pro was very helpful and friendly. Will be going back later in the year a good all round club.

Can't believe this course is not in the top 100, it stands well above most and well deserves its place in top 100. A real fair test of golf, some engaging par 3s and par 5s, especially liked the 10th 200 yard par 3 and 16th 500 yard plus par 5. Food and hospitality also excellent well worth a visit.

Turned away
First time in 30 years of playing that I\'ve ever been denied access to a golf course. We arrived on a dry day at the end of a relatively dry week in mid-October to be interrogated over the tyres on our electric trollies, both of which are equipped with all-weather tyres and not the hedgehog tyres more suitable for the depths of winter. We were told that these tyres were not suitable and we would not be able to play unless we hired pull trollies which are not suitable for good posture. There were however buggies on the course, which seemed rather contradictory to the supposed conditions which necessitate hedgehog tyres, but the last buggy had just been rented out. We saw three people either exiting the course or going out to play with the exact same tyres on electric trollies, but none were challenged. I guess members are allowed to do what they want, but visitors aren\'t. We also witnessed someone initially being told that their waterproof trousers were not suitable because they \"had stripes\", while at the same time not challenging a member of the same group who was in black jeans. This gives off a horrible perception that they will nit-pick randomly to stop visitors playing, while employing double standards and allowing members to not have to adhere to the same guidelines.\\Plenty of other welcoming courses in the area, so we won\'t be back.Reviewer Rating

Worth a Round for £20
I had played this before a couple of years ago so was looking forward to it. Some great holes to be fair and its not always get the big dog out as they have water and bunkers strategically placed to thwart the driver every hole. Overall really enjoyed it again. my only negative would be how there are parts of the fairways that are very bare earth which, if unlucky enough to land on then very difficult to make a good connection. Tees look like they need a bit of TLC. Overall well worth a visit and give it a try.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 84 Handicap: 12.6)

Nice treelined parkland course
Nothing absolutey amazing - just a very good standard and the greens were one of the best i have played on. Some nice tee shots to enjoy. It is a pretty tight course so beware puling out the big dog every time.The 12th short par 3 is great fun!
The closing 3 holes are probably the prettiest. Very decent for £19!
Very busy but never got held up - the locals were pretty quick round there!

Played with a group of friends course ok greens good fairways a bit bare pace of play was good as for the clubhouse was not invited in club pro were fine the rest very snobby we got the feeling we were not welcome will not be returning

Very very good conditions. Greens were immaculate!
£15 is decent and nobody out on the course while we were playing (4pm Saturday afternoon)
Shame about the snotty members even though they have their own bar. One dude shut the door in my face.
Take your hats off tuck your shirts in. Living in the old times. No wonder your advertising cheaper prices to attract new players.
2nd round here. Think that's it for me. Wouldn't recommend either due to members.

Played as a members guest, course was very wet but certiainly playable, only one temporary green, captain took time out to say hello to us which was very nice.

Lovely parkland course with a good layout, similar to the feeling of playing Walmley and Moseley. Nice mix of holes and the course is in excellent condition. Greens are receptive but a nice speed for putting on. If you are a first time visitor be careful for the streams that run across a few holes, they can be reached off the tee even with an iron. Useful info boards on every tee give you an idea of what to expect. Lovely overall feeling of a traditional golf club, will definitely return to play again.

Good course in good condition, some very tricky holes, the first being one of them, beware that ditch in front of the green, greens were running true and are good but will improve after some more growth, very enjoyable.

I've marked as excellent for the time of year and amount of rain we've had, the course has obviously held up well, very enjoyable. Pro and members were all very friendly. Course is a good test so you really need to stay on the fairways. Will definitely return in the new year for their Centenary comps.

Accuracy key here
A good test for all standards. Lots of hazards to punish wayward shots. Not a boring flat, up and down course, it is undulating and pleasing on the eye. New course to play, £22 for twilight golf after work is pretty reasonable. The course played well, considering the recent rain. Lots of unrepair divots on fairways and greens. Pace of the greens was reasonable (some area's could be better). I was behind a two ball from hole 2 and whilst keeping good pace they never let me through and was made to wait on most holes, which made a quick round rather slower.

Played here recently; a tight course in places where you need to be mindful of straight drives and approach shots; smaller greens than some, which increases the need for accuracy and some are well protected by bunkers; the course condition was very good with fast and true greens; the professional shop staff were friendly and helpful; thoroughly recommend to anyone
