Great course and a friendly welcome
Played here a few times, and you are always sure of a warm welcome. A testing layout with some water hazards to negotiate. The greens are reasonably quick and true, and a lot of the fairways undulating, a Dr McKenzie trademark. After a good test of golf you should have a drink on the balcony overlooking the 18th. I can not understand the previous reviews. We were made to feel very welcome and the course is both a challenge and in excellent condition. Highly recommended.

Played in their ladies open day July 12th 2012. A very good welcome, lots of members around to guide first timers to the right places. Had lunch before teeing off and the food is absolutely excellent and great value for money.
Course itself - well considering the amount of rain it was in great condition. There were some very muddy patches on some fairways but these had all been clearly marked so it speeded up all the 'can I drop from here' discussions.
First time for me so was interested to play as I had heard good things and I wasn't disappointed. Fabulously wide lush fairways with enough bunkers, ditches, oob and trees to make it interesting. Some great par 3s and the par 4s were varied enough to keep you on your toes.
All in all a great day and definitely recommend this course to anyone of any ability.

Great course , a lot of low handicap golfers say that this is an hard course , so I don't understand Mr trotter comments.
