Poor condition, memeber was embarassed!
I played both of the Fox Hills courses a lot last year when my son was a member and it was in great condition.Played the Longcross with another member friend on Tuesday and was very disappointed.
Greens were in an appalling state of repairs with numerous bare patches on every green apart from the last which is hared with the `Bernard Hunt and overlooked by the clubhouse.
The fairways were not cut and the grass on the T boxes was too long.
The course was very tired and gave the impression of being completely overplayed and very tired .
I would not want to be a member here.

Wet and muddy.
Course is wet and muddy. Greens are ok. Course is completely saturated, built on clay. Don't know whether it should be open. Pretty tough to hit shots off of those fairways though some managed it.Reviewer Rating

Seems to have slipped in recent years and doesn't look to be worth the money. If anything it look a little tatty around the edges, and in dire need of some money spent on buildings and courses.

Greens in poor condition (Longcross)
Having played here a lot a few years ago it was very disappointing to return and find the general standard of the course and the restaurant not what it was.The design of the Longcross is great, not the longest but with some decent par 3s and an excellent par 5 (14th).
The problem was that the greens were awful on about 8/18 holes. Not just mildly bad, either bare (6th) or with what looks like a disease as strips of grass were laid down (looked like astroturf or a rug of grass) on parts which made them unplayable in parts if you landed on the wrong area to the point you almost wished you could play with a wedge not putter!
Several of the bunkers were quite bare too, and whilst I never enjoy being in a bunker I do expect to have a modicum of sand to play the shot from.
I didn't play well but I was also playing with a couple of other players who are single figure handicappers and they were also as frustrated by the course and green quality so it is not a case of a bad round being blamed on the course, it just wasn't very good on the greens.
Overall for the money they charge (we were on a deal at half price and still felt we were paying too much) you don't expect to experience such poor greens.
I hope they correct it, the course and the setup used to be great, I hope they can get it back there.

Great course top facilities
Not cheap but played on a reciprocal freebie so great value for me! good course with some lovely holes however very playable if fairly straight off the tee but can play long especially in wet conditions, overall a good course well worth playing.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 98 Handicap: 16.2)
