First time here. Played the BH. Excellent course though could have been in slightly better condition noting what they charge to play it. Little bit claggy in places. Generally appealing course though with a decent amount of variety and several changes in elevation. Greens appeared to have recently been tined so a bit difficult to get the pace of them but assume they will sort themselves out over coming weeks ready for summer. Very welcoming in pro shop prior to the round and by the starter on the first. Good food/drink in the 19th both pre and post round. Look forward to heading back in due course to play the Longcross. Par 3 course also looked good from driving through it as you come into the grounds.

Both the Longcross and Bernard Hunt courses are very good and good tests of golf. I prefer the Longcross. The downsides are the relative cost and somewhat boggy terrain in winter.

Courses were both in good condition considering the rain. The driving range is very poor considering how well kept the rest of the facilities are.

Fantastic, very well kept course, picturesque surroundings. Friendly staff in the clubhouse. Good practice facilities although quite a walk from the clubhouse.

Brilliant day out

Played the Longcross, which was just in perfect condition. The greens, fairways and bunkers are clearly all looked after very well. I loved the feeling of being amongst the trees (scenery wise!) and some of the views surrounding you such as the 8th and 14th holes are so memorable. Brilliant practice facilities, an enormous chipping green, with another well cared for bunker and several putting greens scattered in the grounds. Course was very busy, and had an extremely slow two ball in front, but not the fault of the club. The country club and grounds had a very friendly and professional feel to it. Paid £105 for a Monday afternoon round, but I feel it’s justified for a challenging and enjoyable round. A mention also to the 1st tee starter Paul, who was very welcoming and helpful in what to expect during your round and gave great advice.

Longcross Course

After 7 holes my feeling was 'it's nice, but there's not a lot of memorable holes here". That certainly improves over the last 11 holes, with a few really lovely holes in amongst them. Pride of place is probably the par 5 14th hole, which you play from a raised tee to a fairway below between an avenue of trees.

The condition of the greens, tees and fairways couldn't be faulted, and while there are lots of tree lined fairways, there didn't appear to be too many where you couldn't at least have a chance of finding any wayward shots.

The clubhouse is as good as it gets, and it appears that there are all of the practise facilities that you could desire. My advice is if you get a chance to play here then do it. You won't be disappointed.
