Terrible layout
I've played most of the courses in Essex and Hertfordshire and can honestly say this has the worst layout. Greens and tees next to each other, fairways all next to each other. I actually think the course is dangerous as fit the first 8 holes all you hear are golfers shouting fore. The tees were in terrible condition as well. Will not be returning here and surprised they have members still returningReviewer Rating

1st hole had issues because of a cable but no discount was offered. Course was overbooked and dangerous in places

Shabby chic
Shabby in most areas, some tees are a mess with rabbit holes and bunkers also.Strange layout with almost hidden greens

Just a really strange layed out course. No exciting holes really. Greens are well kept, they are soft. Teeing areas are very shabby.

Waterlogged. Cannot cope
Course was in a sorry state. There were a few days of rain prior but the drainage wasn't ideal. Very boggy for most of the round. Played here before, but it is a very short course.Reviewer Rating

It's ok but wouldnt go back
We were surprised we'd never heard of this place as the course is only about 10 miles from us.It's the only course in Essex I wouldn't go back to. It's a giant field really, with holes cut into it. Unimpressive

Course is decent. Good to play occasionally. Overall on the short side. Was water logged at a few places after a few days of rain. I have played in the summer too, and the ball rolls for ages making the course even shorter.

Greens had been sanded - would've been nice to know that in advance to be honest - I guess they'd been expecting rain.
Some blind holes over tree lines which are a little confusing, otherwise a tight course offering decent value for money.
