Appalling Condition
Played over 3 days on the European Disabled tour this week, I went out on the first day thinking WOW Tommy Fleetwood’s home club but was bitterly disappointed! The first day we were having to shoot from fairways that were bare and I was needing deliberately aim for rough to get grass beneath the ball. I hadn’t been in a bunker all round and the greens seemed highly inconsistent, speed and how true they were on a line.Day 2 we were given a pick and place for proffered lies on fairways after the referees assessed the course, I finally went in to a bunker on 17 on day 2 and genuinely hurt myself! I have suffered spinal and neck injuries and when hitting from the bunker it was like contacting with concrete which ended with excruciating spinal pain, neck and fierce nerve pain and had the same issue in two more bunkers on day 3. Also on day 1; one of the gross competitors got away with no injury luckily after the top of one of the bunkers caved in underneath him, we were then on day 2&3 having to tester bunkers to see if they were structurally safe to enter, if not a free drop was in play.
2 players had to withdraw due to the hotel receptionist having given away all easy access rooms so the competitors had to with draw and drive back home… Cambridge to Liverpool and back again with a practice round in between is a long day! 8am-1:30am
Needless to say I and many/most of the other competitors were bitterly disappointed… yes the course was a challenge but the condition was woeful, they splash Tommy’s name all over the place but I’ve played better municipal council courses and it’s a shame because I like most were saying this place could be an unbelievable venue! Saying all this the staff were genuinely nice and helpful and credit to them in that aspect.

Over priced and in poor condition.
The golf course is very expensive for a poorly maintained links. Though the greens were generally good the fairways and rough were a bit ropey and the bunkers are in a bad state for a supposedly good course. There are a lot of areas around the course that need cleaning up that improve it appearance.Reviewer Rating

wasted journey
if you have to travel any sort of distance to play golf here dont bother, we had a 90 mile round trip only to be told when we arrived that the course was closed, as of yet i still havent recieved any sort communication to tell me this, considering it says on its website that it is playable all year it clearly isnt and wont even give its customers the common curtesy of any sort of notification to avoid travelling.all we recieved was a quick verbal sorry from the lad in the pro shop, no offer of any compensation for our wasted journey!! also after i emailed to complain they couldnt even be bothered to reply to that.

Course seemed in good condition. Little bit of scorched grass here and there but would expect that with the heat(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 84 Handicap: 14.8)

Resort course that could be better
The layout is good, the greens are too hard (as in can't be held). Probably a great course to play if you can smash it miles. (Three of the Par 5's are 500 plus, one is 558. Three par 4's are well over 400. The 15th is 446 up the hill)A lot of the holes (Especially the 5's) don't give much by way of risk / reward so the best you'll get is par.
The tee boxes could do with a lot of work being done.
The resort is set up for parties. It's big and corporate.

Good course and nice layout. Very slow today and round was 4.5 hours long. Difficult to play when so many societies are let on(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 83 Handicap: 6.3)
