Played this as a guest when invited to a society outing. What a fantastic course. Quite a few blind holes, glad we had a buggy so we could look ahead and plan our play. Some fantastic and scenic holes when standing on the tee. Highly recommend that everyone should play this at least once and enjoy the sheer loveliness of this golf course.

A lot of work has been done on this course over the winter. Many of the trolley and cart paths have been resurfaced with astroturf which makes for a much cleaner walk, particularly in the rain. The course drainage is very good and appropriate use of winter tees means the experience in summer will be very good. The pro shop and bar staff are very welcoming and it is a pleasure to come back here, despite the fact that the wind today made it very difficult!

This is a well-maintained course where you always get a friendly welcome. It can be tough but there are some generous fairways which give you an opportunity to flex your muscles.

An excellent course in great condition. This is not just a winter course because it drains well. The staff here keep the course in great condition all year round.

Love this course, it's kept in great condition, (summer especially, winter gets a bit boggy, but still o.k.), as the name states, you rarely get an even stance as it's hilly, but that only adds to character of the place. The staff are great and always helpful, in general a good friendly club.

Despite recent heavy rain the course played very well. The layout is excellent with a number of very interesting and challenging holes. Great to play in conjunction with Forest of Dean GC.

Lovely course and friendly members

I played here with the Forest of Dean golf club in our away game with our neighbours.

The course was in superb condition, the layout is very interesting. I needed to do some research on the google maps /Shotscope before playing as I had only played it once before many years ago. This is quite a tactical golf course, the driver shouldn't be used on every hole (if you're wild like me), there are a few dog legs which require precision and distance if you're using the big stick so I used hybrids and 4 irons to keep myself in play and let the driver rip on appropriate holes. There is a variety of ponds, trees, bunkers and long grass to catch you out.

The greens were very fast and challenging with mild to moderate undulations..

The food we had was very nice.
