Always lovely

Good course but not at it's best
Not played Fleetwood for a few years so decided to enter one of their open events. Usual friendly welcome in clubhouse and pro shop. Course not at it's best at the moment, some fairways very patchy and had a few bad lies. Greens okay but again patchy on some. Has not put me off returning but course does need some tlc to get it back to it's former glory.Reviewer Rating

Always a great course to play. Friendly clubhouse and pro shop. Course in great condition a true test when the wind blows. Greens superb. Quite open course with little cover from the elements like a true links should be, Stray offline and thick rough awaits, play straight and a good score can be had. Reasonable prices in the clubhouse for drinks and food.

The course is in fantastic condition they are always making improvements to the course it is challenging and will test the very best the clubhouse has all the latest equipment very welcoming and the bar upstairs has good food and a good pint and snooker tables overall a fantastic days golfing

Fleetwood is a lovely links that you don't hear a lot about.
It's relatively flat, would be amazing with more sand dunes, but plays like a proper links course. Downwind the ball runs forever, but into the wind par 4's play like par 5's.
The greens & bunkers are superb, especially for January.
They have a Twilight rate of ?15 after 12:40pm, what a bargain! I teed off at 1:12pm & was comfortably round before dusk.
Add to this a brilliant guy in the pro shop & really friendly locals & you have a great golfing experience.

Great links course
You can see the history of this course straight away ( it used to be a rifle range in WW1 ). You have to think your way round here as the wind direction changes all the time and dry hard fairways add extra distance to your shots, where there are runs off areas around the greens, or sneaky hidden bunkers . Greens were excellent . A really good true test of how your game stands up to links conditions.Reviewer Rating

Amazing

BUNGS TOUR 4 BALLS 2017
The course was in great condition and the weather was superb with a mild wind blowing in the afternoon. Several bunkers did for me this day but a very enjoyable game losing at the 18th green.The hospitality at this club is first class, many of the society were welcomed into the car park on arrival, a fine gesture with bacon sandwiches & coffee awaiting us.

A testing, but enjoyable links course, expect to have to control your ball flight with the wind playing a big factor due to its coastal location

Decent course but not a great deal of character. The rough is tricked up in order to protect the scorecard. Balls just missing the fairway are generally lost and there is little definition to use as a marker. The greens are reasonable and besides the unfairly penal rough, it is in decent condition. The pro and the members are welcoming and for £25 it was worth the visit, but unlikely we will return.
