Played the course last week. It was certainly playable and drains well as we've had the wettest December on record for many years. All the greens were in play and were certainly of a good standard for winter golf. I enjoy this course in the summer and was surprised how well it plays in the winter, but some of the Par 4s played very long because there is no run off the tee.

Lovely weather, very enjoyable course. Had a nice chicken curry afterwards for charity golf day.

Fast running course with a mature feel. Interesting holes on both nines. Club house is quite quaint and food is good. Small pro shop..We went on a no frills Society deal.

A great society venue - the course is long but very fair, the greens were a little slow but very true. Highly recommended for ascairty event.

The course was wet but handled the rain well, just made the greens very slippy and the putt didn't run true, but that can't be helped. Really enjoyed playing the course and the pro, bar staff and members we ran in to were really friendly and helpful.
Buildings themselves are a bit tired looking but if you're looking for a fairly flat (for the area at least) course that is not too tiring on the legs, then this is a great course to play and I'm sure it would be even better in the dry.

Course has excellent drainage and is in very good condition for the time of year (20th March 2015). I will certainly look forward to playing again later in the summer.

Lovely course to play, especially on the back 9 where there are some really cracking holes, particularly the 14th and 16th. The height of cut away from the rough amongst the trees was nice and low which makes a big difference if you've got higher handicappers in your group. Friendly welcome from the Pro, and good service from the girls in the bar.

Fairwood was a very enjoyable course and had some great holes - especially the 3rd, 9th, 10th, and 16th. Accuracy off the tee is more important than length because there are trees everywhere. The staff in the clubhouse were all polite and helpful, especially the young assistant Pro. In summary I would definitely play here again. (Played on 14/09/13, Handicap 6, 35 points)
