Short but challenging
I played with a golf society at Epping in October 2019. I've played here many times and it is very enjoyable course to play. We always play off the whites but even that is only 5434 yards. The outstanding feature of the course is the quality of the greens - they are pretty fast and caught me out on this last occasion. The staff in the clubhouse are so friendly and helpful - other golf clubs could learn a lesson here. The three course dinner in the evening was excellent and easily beat the vast majority of golf society meals that we have experienced. The clubhouse is rather cramped and certainly not as smart as other courses but it is an extremely place to visit.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 109 Handicap: 31.2)

Good value
My friend played here in March 2019 - we have played Epping before and like to visit at least once a year. The course was slightly waterlogged after heavy rain and there was one temporary green. Although it's short - we played off the whites which are 5434 yards - it's not as easy as the yardage suggests. It is very good value and we enjoyed our game. The welcome in the clubhouse and the food afterwards were excellent - the staff really make you feel welcome.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 117 Handicap: 29.8)

A short but hilly course with a few holes hitting at posts where you cannot see where the balls land. Off the fairway the grass should be short enough to see the ball from 30 feet away ie 2-3 inches and it was a lot longer resulting in my group losing quite a few balls.
could be very good with shorter grass everywhere.
not sure if buggy hire was available didn't see anyone using a buggy.
friendly golfers and staff.
Found it a bit noisy in places after playing secluded courses like Hainault as a Motorway borders the course.
Shot 93 which was flattering for me playing off 27 I didn't think I played that well. Good golfers should break 90 easy.

PACE OF PLAY WAS VERY SLOW WHICH WAS A SHAME. GREENS VERY GOOD AND VERY WARM WELCOME AND FRIENDLY STAFF. CLUB HOUSE NOT GREAT
