Great condition, really friendly
Wasn't expecting much after 8 weeks of lockdown. A round a few days earlier on another course was blighted by dreadful greens and deep rough. Epping however was a joy, immaculate fairways and greens and the rough was sensible. It's a shortish course of mainly par 4s and a real test of approach play and putting. Loved every minute of it.Reviewer Rating

Great little course
First time play Epping Golf Course. Found it to be a great little course, good fairways, greens in fantastic condition. Nice challenging course with doglegs, slopes and some interesting holes. Friendly staff.I we definitely play here again and would recommend this course.

Do not assume that because it is a short course that it is easy.

Outstanding condition
This is neither a long nor a tough course but challenging enough to make you think. Mainly a parkland course over some undulating Essex countryside. There are enough well placed bunkers, ponds and trees to make you need to place your tee shots. The trees are are mixture of mature and young which will only improve the course over time.Played this course a number of times but just played it in January and it is in outstanding condition, well done to the green keepers. The far end of the course is bounded by the M25 and M11 so when you're down there enjoying your game spare a though for all those poor souls stuck in traffic jams or going to work, it'll put that slice or hook you just played into perspective.Reviewer Rating

Local Society day
I don't know how this course has been under my radar. Our club had a day out to play this well layed out course, to start we had a great Bacon roll, much better than most I get at golfclubs, and I have had a few!
Nice little practice area with a small charge of ?2.00 with enough balls to get warmed up, only 160 yards uphill so could not hit anything too big, then a nice chipping area and a nice practice green, the Greens was running fast and well rolled giving great putting conditions, we had a meal after which was delicious. Bar drinks was very reasonable and the staff all very polite and friendly. I will definetly be playing here again. The course gave great challenge but not too tough for the higher handicappers in our group, Only one par 5 but plenty of driving holes,i enjoyed a lovely walk in some scenic part of the Essex I had missed somehow.
