The Place for a day trip

We arrived at Enville for a 2 day visit to play the Highgate and Lodge courses. What a fantastic trip and an amazing venue. Time well spent on 2 wonderful courses in amazing condition. We will be back for sure. Greens great and they have beautiful spike Bar ,some beautiful holes especially some of the parkland holes on the Lodge, the place has the potential to be one of the best 36 Hole venues in the UK. One other note the practice facilities are incredible

Best Winter Course I've Played

Played with our club pro in the recent Staffs PGA Allience, loved every minute of it... Played the Highgate Course, some beautiful holes, bone dry and greens in the word of our pro were "Pure". Great spike bar and a lovely atmosphere and not to far off the motorway - a must visit

Joy to be alive

It’s a Joy to be alive playing Enville a course that gets better every time I play it. Playing in November it’s greens were still firm and true and a beautiful pace. Fairways were still running fast and much work was being done around the course to improve it yet further. Golf at its best

Played the 2nd Course for the first time and what a gem, some great holes cut out of a forest and the others set in beautiful heathland. A must play for anyone

TOP 100 Contender

Played both Courses in the last few days, if there is a better 36 hole site then I need to play it. Loved every minute, a little strange how contrasting the site is over each of the 18 and would have suited having a heath and a wood course rather then a mix but other then that observation what a gem. Greens were fantastic and the course played lovely. I will have to return in 2018

Treat of a Venue

What a great venue to enjoy an away visit during these difficult times. Its an amazement that I had never played here before, yes its a bit out of the way and off the motorway its a bit of a challenge to get to but once here it's worth every effort. Pro shop wasnt open when we arrived but we were welcomed by food table by the clubhouse - cracking start !. Played the Lodge first what a joy, followed by the Highgate the next day, both are gems although the Highgate plays a little longer the lodge was equally as tough and interesting. Greens were super smooth and the place was in lovely order.

Amazing Venue

Played the Highgate before and what a treat that was but today was the turn on the Lodge, day before a pro event and what a joy, the course is so well manicured, greens a treat and so true. Some great holes \\\\\\\"beautiful\\\\\\\
" as my partner would say. Practice facilities are great, not the greatest of welcomes in the shop but that was soon forgotten about with a lovely chat with one of the members, considering all the Covid issues food and drink was great. Well worth a visit in fact id make several you wont get better value in the midlands playing on such quality.

Great Course

Love this course, November golf at its best, greens worth the green fee alone the blend of Heath and wooded holes keep it interesting all the way round both courses. Fairways taken a beating in the summer but what golf course hasn’t. Tees like carpets and ale like velvet !!

Definitely not your average....

Played both courses during the heatwave a few months ago. Having played a large number of Surrey sandbelt heathland courses, Enville easily sits comfortably amongst other more lauded venues such as Sunningdale, Walton Heath and St. Georges Hill.

With 36-holes on offer, each 18 an equal balance of heathland and woodland, testing greens and the most comprehensive practice facilities I have seen there is enough to easily warrant a two day excursion.

Off course, the clubhouse and staff are welcoming, with a lovely oak spike bar and courtyard for al fresco dining and post game drinks. The Pro-shop is a real Aladdin's cave with a huge range of equipment on offer.

The fact that you can get all this for a fraction of what you would pay to play the 'upper echelon' Surrey courses makes it a no-brainer for those who want top-class, great value golf.

Magnificent

I've played both courses at Enville numerous times and both are better and more challenging than any other courses in the area. The members make you feel so welcome. The practice facilities are better than any other I have used. You will not be disappointed!

What an experience

Played in the Lombard Trophy here last week, it was the best course I have played in the Midlands and cannot believe I have not played it before. Some great holes and in such amazing condition, the greens were top draw. The clubhouse and pro shop are good and what a treat to find practice facilities of this quality.

A Treat

Had a great day out in the sticks, it may be well away from the Surrey belt but these courses are well worth the Journey to play. I enjoyed both courses with some great holes, as someone has mentioned on here already it would lend itself to one course being all Heathland and the other parkland but that doesnt spoil and not give 5 stars, lovely little clubhouse and a well stocked pro shop and practice facilities that are great to warm up on.

2 Great Courses

Had a great 2 days at Enville playing both of its courses, stunning setting and in great condition firm and fast with greens in fantastic condition, certainly better then last time round 5 years ago. Practice facilities have matured well and must be some of the best around, great spike bar which I do not remember from the last visit.

Best just gets better

Amazing courses (Lodge and Highgate) - located off the beaten track but well worth the visit. Played again recently and am amazed how good the course was playing despite being winter. Great food and atmosphere in the spike bar, very friendly membership.

Best Played this year

Playing in a recent PGA Winter Alliance, over the years of playing Enville I'd always loved the venue but the condition of Tees and Greens left a lot to be desired however on a late Novembers day I have to say they were probably the best greens I've played on all year, with everything else Enville has to offer it is definitely a 5 star venue

Wow - what an amazing place. Played both courses and am pleased to say that they were fantastic. Greens were running smooth, and fairway were lush. Recommended - will be talking about this to anyone who will listen.

Spike bar was particularly vibrant, with a real character.

Superb Greens on a Great Course

Finally I have played Enville and played on greens that matched the quality of the golf course !!! I played the Lodge one day and the Highgate the next, I actually preferred the Lodge which has just got something about it. Clubhouse and Pro shop a treat. I'll be back again soon just wished I lived local.
