I've not played Elfordleigh for a few years & was a little disappointed. The greens were slower then I remembered & could of done with a cut. Looking a little scruffy around the edges, but on the positive the fairways were nice to play from.

Played at this course on 10/04/15. It was a 9 hole course some years ago and the 9 hole extension is not the best having to utilise out of bounds markers in the meddle of the course as they squeezed the holes into too small a space.
The greens were atrocious. There were numerous bare patches including where previous holes had been cut, and the grass was so long it was clearly seeding. They can't blame the weather as it had been extremely good. At one point I considered using a 5 iron as a putter when putting some distance from the hole as the greens were so slow.
The golf club is clearly struggling, especially since the new Boringdon Golf Club opened its doors.
I certainly will not play here again unless the golf society unfortunately books in for next year.

Having not played Elfordleigh for around 7 or 8 years I was pretty disappointed when I was invited back to play. Course not really developed much and quite boring,although the new pro was very nice & helpful. Guess if I had played better I might of had a better opinion.

Really nice views
The course is a testing course with lots of scenary. Simon is helpful in the pro shop. Bar could do with a bell to notify staff when people are queuing and no one is around(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 108 Handicap: 35.1)

Very quiet and enjoyable round
Greens were a bit slow and have suffered from a lot of ball plugging i reckon as there were a lot of pit marks around. Apart from that the course is in great shape ready for the summer.Reviewer Rating

Great tucked away wooded location adjacent to Dartmoor, very attractive course, with plenty of wildlife (geese/ducks!!). Plenty of water hazards, and interesting bunker positions. Good variation of holes, unfortunately the greens are very slowly and bobbly, however I was informed by the gold pro this was due to a weed problem and the 'product' that has been laid down to battle this problem, I was assured that in a few months the greens should be improved, so it will be worth a visit again. Good fry up prior to round and nice outside bar area.

This is a hard course I found lovely 3 par 3 on the spin for a bit of speed a good value on twilight that's the times I would recommend to play. But I did I joy it

Good course in summer, gets waterlogged quite quickly though so wouldn't recommend in the wet! Quite easy, especially the back nine where you can score well. I thoroughly enjoy playing Elfordleigh.
