Good for first round of the year would play again for the price. I'd use this as a practice round but the greens are in good condition

Value for money.Considering the weather we've had (wet spring, now warn sun) the course is in good condition. The greens were good, if a little fluffy and needed a cut but given the rate of growth this time of year the staff have a hard job keeping up so it's acceptable.
My only criticism is that the bunkers need a complete revamp with proper bunker sand with no stones. The sand seemed to be fine red sand with lots of stones and no depth at all. The lack of sand made the club bounce making it difficult to get the club under the ball due to the lack of sand.
However considering the price paid for the round it still made it good value for money.

Main course in great condition considering the recent bad weather. Tee’d off at 7.30am and played 18 for a tenner. Can’t go wrong. Friendly staff in the clubhouse. Now sat in the sun with a pint and a BLT. Can’t get any better. Spot on.

ideal for practise
Played after work so only £4. I find it better to hit round a course than the false smack of a driving range !!Greens are not as loved as the main course (apart from the 9th hole ) but for me its just ideal for practising and judging distance. Only issue was the bar was closed afterwards...

I played here for the first time today and having read the reviews I was a little dubious.
I paid £7 for my 18 holes on a Wednesday at senior rates and headed if to the first tee with my friend who plays here regularly.
The fairways are generous with the rough a little unforgiving but the point of this game is to hit the fairway so if you stray off the fairway do not complain, it's not the courses fault that you cannot hit it straight.
The fairways had a fair amount of dead grass cuttings but the ball ran on in the dry conditions.
The greens were in good condition too. There were a couple that had suffered a bit of damage due to the dry weather.
The only reasonable complaint was that the sand in the bunkers was poor.
Overall for a municipal course with limited funds this was good value for money.
The limited green keeper staff do a good job considering the limitations
And at £7 a round i had good value.
If you want a perfect course go to a club that charges perfect course fees.

Very very poorly kept golf course. This was cheap and cheerful, as I paid £8.60 for nine holes, but probably wasn't worth a fiver. There was no fairway in sight at all, and the greens were average to poor, with the tees just markers in the miscellaneous rough that made up the rest of the course. I planned on playing 18 holes here but ended up coming off after nine.

All courses have their ups and downs,dependant on weather conditions,but at the present time Edwalton is on a down.The fairways aren\'t cut often enough,(main course),probably due to limited staffing , the teeing grounds are in a shocking state,and the greens,well,the car park has a better putting surface. The family management team has been asked leave,and hopefully,with a new manager things can only get better.The course still has its roaming dog walking annoyance.

A good parkland course. Available online at reduced rates - a little pricy when paying the full rate (about £10 for 9 holes). Some really good holes (long par 4s!) but would be a lot better if the tees were flat and the greens were faster (although they are receptive). On balance a friendly course, good value at reduced rates and would recommend.

The latest reviews are complete rubbish, this is a well kept course, decent club house and is extremely good value for money. We did a Groupon deal, but even without it its still good value. Food was good value too, 3.50 for a plate of chicken and chips. Staff were very friendly and I would play this course again in a heartbeat. I have gave it all 5 stars to give it a bit more credit from the recent reviews. People expect too much, its a good course and is fairly priced. Recommended. Par 3 course is good practice for short game too (although last hole is still 210 yards!!)

A very good course, in good condition, that is set out well. Decent little club house with helpful and friendly staff. Would highly recommend and play again
