Really disappointed - the first fairway also doubles up as a practice area. Trying to locate your ball amongst 100 others is no mean feat.

this course as undergone a face lift since we last played it the layout as been altered, we found this was a good improvement but a bit more signage would have helped as we did stand on the wrong tee at the point of change but this was only a small matter, also a lot of heavy, shrubs, and bushes and trimmed down trees have taken place throughout and the course as opened the course up and look forward to playing in the future.

Different Challenge

I was a member here for a year so lets do the positives first.
Pro - brilliant, top man and always happy to help.
Members - best around. Dead friendly and accommodating, always made welcome when making up a group in the comp.
Staff - as with the pro they are all great.
19th Hole - great.
Course condition - usually pretty decent with receptive greens that usually run true.
Negatives:
1st / 4th / 5th / 13th - you can hit a fairway and still be blocked out which seems weird, not even with the possibility of going round or over or under. Feels harsh to be penalised for hitting the short grass.
This is a thinkers course. That's fine in comps when you are trying to score but not so much fun when you are with your mates and just want to belt it. I would think that the tee positions would be able to alter the playability of the course as opposed to the actual layout.
Practice areas could be better.
18th doesn't finish near the clubhouse.
Definitely more positives than negatives and I enjoyed my year there but perhaps when my driving is shortening and I am plotting my way round more I will be back.

Matured into very challenging course

First, and previous time, I player this course was about 30 years ago.

I was pleasantly surprised yesterday, as to how it has matured into a very well established, picturesque and challenging test.

Some very difficult holes for an intermediate golfer, and only accredited one par 5 to play, although I would dispute this.

My only comment is about the course layout and the distances to some of the tees. This may need a re-think, but overall I would strongly recommend giving this course a try.

Very friendly club. Interesting course. 5 par threes brings yardage down but most of them are quite long. Several loops/ sections on this course, each if which offers something different. Several holes require careful “management”, and one or two where you can open the shoulders off the tee. Dog legs left and right and many trees positioned strategically to punish stray shots.
Its a good test and in good condition.

Great testing course

Course was in great condition (apart from bunkers which need more sand). Always a test as need to keep the ball straight. Course management is much needed on here as you can score low if you get it right

Very Boring Course but good value

Found the course very tight, short and not very good greens. Booked on tea times and price similar to municipal courses. Would not play again but ranks similar to Brackenwood and Arrow Park. Friendly club house but members seemed stuck up. If you are new to golf and learning to play this would be good to begin on.

Temps were on which is understandable for this time of year, but there idea of temps is to put holes in the middle of the fairway without cutting the grass. no sand in bunkers either.

Course in great condition given recent weather

The course was in great condition given the amount of rain that we have had. Greens were a little bumpy(understandably) but fairways had been mown which made a massive difference. hats off to the ground staff!
