Great location but poorly maintained courses. Rough is absurd for high handicappers and low handicappers would play somewhere in better condition. Hence course is empty, but still takes 5 hours to get round. Where the rough has been cut they left grass cuttings so ball is still impossible to find.

PARKLAND COURSE.. discraceful condition

visited East Horton Parkland Course 6/5/2018. Wanted to play as heard rumours there putting a housing development withing this 18 hole.. VERDICT... YOU MAY AS WELL HURRY UP AND GET ON WITH IT. absolutely discraceful condition. The pro shop have a right cheek to be fair to charge the £28 green fee. Although greens werent too bad fairways the width of your driveway was about as much grass as looked they could be bothered to cut. Even the first cut was a joke. Got through a load of balls as just impossible to find. Bunker on 16th looked derelict. Full of weeds very little sand. No rake. If you cant be bothered with the Parkland now JUST CLOSE OT NOW. Feel cheeted out of a green fee.

Poor course conditions and overpriced

I played the parkland course very recently. The course was in poor condition with lots of standing water on the fairways and the greens had more sand than most of the bunkers. Impossible to putt on due to all the spiker holes. Given the course wasn't at it's best, disappointed to have had to pay full price. Certainly wasn't good value.

not sure who the head greenkeeper is but who ever he is he wants shooting what was a beutifull well kept course is absolutely disgraceful the tees uncut and tee marker not moved the tee banks over grown not sure what they are cutting the fairways with but they reminded me of a pair of old cords i use to wear in the 70's the semi and rough very long with lots of dead grass the greens uncut and covered in drew the hole's not been changed the greens had poor coverage of grass and weeds and as for the bunkers were do you start clay stones weeds no sand and over grown me and my partner decided after 4 holes if we went in a bunker we would take a free drop out because they are just so bad absolutely shocking very sad

local Course

Course in poor condition generally because of the dry weather, greens very very slow and pitch marks are not being repaired.
As its local to me I know it was closed for a while when it was wet but the course is in worst condition I have known it for the last 20 years

the course is in better conditional last but the fairways are too narrow for higher handicap golfers.

Until recently the rough was left at a unplayable height for most of golf season resulting in very slow play trying to find ball and at great expense. The bunkers are awful. Areas leading up to most greens are poor. Greens need to be better. For a small in length course it is very unforgiving and you need to play it with a lot of thought due to hazards and trees.

In general the Greenwood course was in an average condition, the fairways were good, some of the Greens were in a terrible condition. luckily we paid through Tee off times and got a cheap rate. To pay ?32 would be a rip off. We will not visit this course again this year.

Round marred by very heavy rough that was effectively unplayable; if you could find the ball. Long rough caused frustrating delays to play. Bunkers solid. Not as good as it used to be.

Early in the season but from previous games on this course, the standard has fallen. Greens are shabby. Small portions compared to other clubs in the clubhouse as well. I reckon I had only 1 sausage in my roll!!!

Nice course but rough is very long! We all lost balls even just off the fairway. Could do with clearing up the grass cuttings, some of the greens were patchy and the bunkers would make nice hardcore!
A bit of tidying up and will make a great course.

Played the Greenwood on Friday 8th May. Attractive and often interesting course – but needs some work. Greens are appalling. Moss. Bumpy. Slow. On one green my ball jumped about a foot in the air. There really was no point in trying to work out the break as the ball was jumping about all over the place.

The other issue is the rough. First cut is pretty bad but if you go any further you will lose your ball. We had holes where two out of four lost their balls just off the fairway. It is so thick that you have no chance of finding a ball. We were not alone. Not convinced I would want to play this course again – at least until these issues are addressed. If they were- it would be a really good course.

Greens not that great. I find the course not the most exciting but would definitely recommend a buggy or take a trolley.
