What A Course.
Played the course on Saturday. The Wednesday before I played The Filly at Close House. Dunstanburgh absolutely blew it out the water. Considering all the snow we've had I couldn't believe the standard of the course. Greens and fairways were the best I've seen so far this year.We were lucky that there was hardly any wind, as on a windy day it would be a different animal. the Par 4, 6th Hole is up there with the best holes I've played. I could not rave about the course anymore. I liked it that much that I plan on joining this season and I live the best part of 50 miles away.
Staff and members were also very friendly everyone seemed to want to say hello which made it an even better experience.
Well done to all involved at Dunstanburgh!!!

Ms.
I loved playing this wonderful links course; looking forward to returning. It is a challenging course by the North Sea, with beautiful surroundings. I found it listed as a National Trust Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The clubhouse is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff. The course is very well looked after by the greenkeepers.Reviewer Rating

Nothing special
Included this course in a trip back from playing in East Lothian but it’s not as good as anything up there. A fiddly, short layout. Nice coastal views but that’s about it.Reviewer Rating

Difficult to pigeonhole
Not a links course, more of a cliff top type. Quite short and fiddly although some nice views which take attention away from the general low-level challenge of the course.Reviewer Rating

Old school
No school like it. Classic old school links golf. Not fussy, but great fairways and greens and a bit querkyReviewer Rating

Proper links experience
We played on a sunny day, with no wind, so our experience may not be typical!! The first eight holes are built around a couple of sand dunes: so they are full of character, while affording stunning views of the bay and along the coast. From the ninth, the course flattens out a bit as play towards the end of the course and a beautiful little par three which is set in front of the castle ruins. The course was in splendid condition, and we will certainly return for another round.Reviewer Rating

The course is a superb links - a good, fair test of golf. It was in excellent condition. We played several other courses in the area over the week we visited and Dunstanburgh's greens were by far the best.
The club is friendly, staff incredibly pleasant and helpful. The food, which was included in the deal we booked, was excellent.
All in all, a completely faultless golf club which offers outstanding value. I genuinely cannot wait to play it again.

Probably my favourite golf course in the North East. Great everything with fantastic greens and well worth a visit with the food package included. Loads of walkers which gives it such a friendly feel and could even take my well behaved black lab around the course with me. Played 0930 sat morning and nobody in front of us all the way around. Find it and try it.
