Tough, challenging course, interesting layout
This layout has elements of a US course with lots of water in play on many holes. I played a week after maintenance week and the greens had recovered very well, running true albeit understandably a bit slow. It's a long course with the prevailing wind normally in your face for the longer par 4 and par 5 holes. Definitely worth playing, particularly if you can get the county card rate.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 72 Handicap: 3.9)

Would recommend and return
Played midweek twilight, first time visit. Course in good condition, a couple of small GUR areas (incl. a couple of bunkers) but otherwise good cover on the fairways, lush rough and firm greens. Course layout felt a little repetitive at times but enjoyable. Lots of ditches and water to navigate. Seemed very friendly and good pace of play. I was a single and got round in 3 hours, having been let through by 5 groups (without asking). Decent practice facilities etc. Am not local but would return if in the area again. Good value.Reviewer Rating

Very interesting and challenging parkland course
Dudsbury is very much the "best of the rest" in terms of the courses to play that aren't the big three heathlands or Remedy Oak. It has a lot of water but can become quite firm and fast in the summer. It is a really interesting and varies layout that really challenges all aspects of your game. The greens were fairly true when I played but did need a bit of a cut and so played a bit slow. I would imagine, however, that once cut and rolled they would be very slick. The fairways were a bit dry and bare in patches, probably left over from last summer's very dry weather. If they can sort this out then you will be guaranteed a fantastic day of golf when you play here.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 77 Handicap: 3.3)

A very good course and hospitality
A very friendly club, stayed for 2 nights and 2 rounds at the end of April 2019 the course was in great condition and the back nine is especially challenging. The hotel service was excellent as was the food and the Ringwood bitter. The rooms are very comfortable if a tad on the small side. This was the 2nd time I have stayed here and I have no hesitation in returning again.

Great Course & friendly staff
The course is in good condition, fairways were excellent, a little too much sand on the greens but understandable at this time of year after treatment, bunkers on front 9 were good but on the back 9 they were in a poor state with very little sand, overall though an enjoyable experience, we paid £29.00 which was good value.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 94 Handicap: 24.8)

Good Course but VERY slow play
Firstly I should say the greens here are fantastic, best I have played on all summer/autumn. The front 9 is very compact and squeezed in to a small space but the back 9 seems more spread out and enjoyable. Practice facilities are good and the practice green is very similar to actual course greens. Staff were very friendly and the clubhouse was nice. However, this was all ruined by the pace of play. Usually takes me 3-3.5 hrs as part of a 2 ball to complete a round. I played here on my own, tee?d off at 2pm and finished my round at 6:20pm (in the dark). Slow 4 balls a few groups up did not let anyone through and actually cut their round short as it was getting dark. Another group I spoke to said it's always slow here. Disappointing because it could be a great course but at the prices they charge I would struggle to justify playing again, especially at winter twighlight rates because I wouldn't see being able to finish before it's too dark.Reviewer Rating
