This is a course that will punish you even if you are playing well. I understand that a golf course should challenge you but this course is simply unfair. The terrain of most fairways is sloped to throw your ball towards the trees or other hazards. The greens are tiny targets that mostly slope to encourage a shot hitting the green to end up off the green. The par 3 7th is a prime example. 180yrds uphill with a steep slope with shin high rough off to the right just 5yrds from the putting surface. There are many similarly punishing approaches around the course.
The wind howls over the course as it is on top of the hill even on relatively calm days. The course is in desperate need of some TLC. The greens are way too long and very slow. You will rarely find a good lie on the fairways if you do find them and the flag sticks look like park pitch and putt rejects, some are no more than garden canes with flags on. The course layout is confusing and to add to the head scratching, some genius has painted the stumps of removed trees white, making you think you are constantly out of bounds. Even though it's my local course I won't be returning.

nice club house nice staff and friendly members but the course was much to hilly for me and to many blind shots which 2 or 3 times meant dangerous shots where being played they really need to have hole by hole planners or hole information on each tee and dangerous hole hi lighted

Hidden away in amongst the houses this is a bit of a mountain goat gold course. Would probably be better played from buggies if you have a weak heart or any sort of breathing problems. Nice course but signposting could be better.

Don't really like this course, the hilly terrain is too steep to make the golf enjoyable. Lots of blind shots, shared tees and difficult layout make it hard for the first time visitor to score well. New signage has improved the navigation of the course but make sure you get a map at the pro shop or you might end up playing the wrong holes. This course will punish you if you're not straight and accurate. Sloping fairways and internal out of bounds means you could be dropping shots if you're even 5 yards off a fairway. Greens look nice cut into the hillside but if you miss them by 2-3 yards you can easily end up 30 yards down a hill. Greens are so dry and hard that even good shots that hit them will run through. Difficult to score well on this course unless you're having an all round good day.

The course is challenging both mentally and physically, considering the hill on which its built. If you play on bright day like I did, you will enjoy a 360 degree picturesque views as well as a nice fresh breath of air too

good course. wanted to find a club to join and found the club pro a little rude to say the least. may play the course again but wouldn't join at the moment. members v friendly though.

Nicely maintained with good greens. Extremely hilly though with some steep climbs and a lot of blind shots over the brow of hills. Course could do with more signs for yardages and the location of the next tee.

Played this for the first time. Quite a shock to the system with the uphill and downhill holes. Beautiful course , def recommend a buggy though. NOT for the faint hearted. But some stunning views from some of the tees. Deffo recommend to anyone and will return.

A good tidy course, but a buggy is a must. Very hilly and without a buggy you are cream crackered after ten holes.
