Played this course yesterday and I found it to be a tough slog. Had decided that I would carry my clubs as I had imagined it would be fairly flat. (It's not) Was puggled by the ninth. Had some soggy lies on the way round and I felt that if I had played it when it was really wet it would have been a nightmare. The greens were in excellent condition although some of them were heavily dyed. The lack of a traditional pro shop steup was disconcerting, as you have to check in at the health club reception desk. I had to ask for a score card and the woman behind the desk rummaged about in a cupboard and eventually found one. The course was practically empty but still took over 4 hours to get round, but to be fair, I'm not the fittest guy you'll ever meet. I don't think that I will be playing there again, but if you are a younger fitter type with a low to medium handicap I think it would be an enjoyable test of golf.

Fantastic course when it's dry. Great holes and greens and tough to play to your hdp. Scenery and wildlife abound and a real test of golf. Toughest in area and the green keeping staff have done a great job! Only complaint is to much dye on the greens.

Played the course for the first time and have to say will be back, a nice course with some very tight driving holes, mature woodlands and local deer running around all over the place and seem very relaxed as were not running from you.
Onto the course, after a really heavy downpour the course was a little wet which was to be expected, however ball ran on fairways and greens were in good condition, this is a course where there are no 2 holes the same.
You need to pick your way around and is not a course for smashing driver off every tee, the par 3s are memorable from hitting to a green 100 yards below you to hitting to another 100 yards above you (or at least thats what it felt like)

Although didnt play particularly well left with a smile on my face as it was a veery enjoyable course.

I will definitely be back.

Nice little course with a few tight challenging fairways. Greens in superb condition. Only downfall was I didnt have a course map and the signage was pretty poor but was told this will soon be fixed. Course is attached to a virgin active gym so facilities are decent

great course, played here a few times with friends and not one of us has left disappointed.nice opening hole, some tricky par 3's and very tight fairways so an iron off the tee is a must.staff very helpful and good facilities.

Not for the average club golfer. Many of the par 4’s are around or more than 400 yards and most fairways are narrow. So unless you can consistently hit straight drive over 220-240 yards, pars will be rare.

American style layout, tough as anything

This course reminded me of ones I used to play in Georgia; most holes isolated from each other, long walks from green to tee, and totally dead if you stray off line. It is a municipal course attached to a Nuffield Health gym but it is the kind of layout that would not be out of place as a private members club. It is narrow, challenging, exciting all rolled into one. There are so many stand-out holes and it is actually best played form the back tees as otherwise the par 5 holes are mostly all reduced to 450+ yard par 4 holes, and the par 5s are tough enough. You really need your A game to score well here. Conditioning for a municipal course was also pretty good although greens were slow. It held up fairly well despite a lot of recent rain.

Course all round conditions were good, greens were great, tees and some fairways could have been better manicured. Pace of play was slow 4.5 hours
