excellent greens

I was impressed with the greens, smooth and fast.
Fairways were dry but a little bit muddy, as expected this time of year.
Great bar looking over the 9th and 18th greens.
Super friendly pro shop staff.

Tough Back Nine

Only played the back nine due to lack of Time. Tough for a high handicapper like me. Very hilly and tight. Scenic though and good greens. Pro friendly and helpful. Would like to return and play the whole course.

Great condition in general but the greens were quick in places and were not running true.

Tricky but lovely course

Played course 3 times over 3 days. Narrow fairways, plenty of trees and hills made it a bit intimidating for round 1 but after that the challenge was very enjoyable.

Fantastic golf course, not the longest but with narrow-ish fairways and tricky pin positions makes for a very enjoyable round. The only problem I have had there so far is hotel guests not offering any golfing etiquette and letting faster groups play through.

A very nice course, a little tightly packed in with just a few too many short par 4s although the 600yrd par 5 16th makes up for them, other than that a really good test of golf, the rolling fairways are tight with undulating greens. The back 9 is excellent. Played in early January so a little wet in places but I think this would make an excellent society venue, very friendly with great facilities will definitely be back.

A very nice course. Tree lined the whole way round with nice use of the rolling hills. Some tight fairways mixed with good use of water hazards.
Greens were quite slow but didn't really matter that much.
Only one down side is some of the tee boxes were not flat which is a bug bear of mine. Apart from that it's a good place to play.
I would play there again when I'm in that part of the world !!!!

Greens were in great condition.
Holes quite open on the back 9 so you can unleash the driver.

Played this course for the first time on a golfbreaks deal two rounds over two days. First impressions were pretty good. The greens were excellent but quick, the fairways neat and tidy. All of the fairways - bar a couple - were very skinny and unfortunately the course felt a little cramped. By that I mean the holes were very close to each other, side by side. So close that on occassion, I'd say they were borderline dangerous.
On the first round, our group played more irons off tees than I'd ever seen before, with the aim of hitting some of these narrow fairways. On the second round there was a lot more driver action after we'd realised that you can miss the designated faiway yet still have a shot in from the fairway next door.
There are a couple of great par 3's and watch out for the par 5 "Big Dipper" one of the strangest holes I've seen.

This is one lovely course, and the day we played it it was in tremendous condition. The greens were amongst some of the nicest I've had the good fortune to play, although the slopes could be quite brutal if you weren't used to the pace of them. I wasn't. They beat me up.

The back 9 tends to get a little undulating, so not exactly an easy walk , but nothing that should prove too daunting for most people. The fairways also gets a little tight on occasions too, but on most of the holes you should at least find your ball, even if you don't have a shot.

The scenary just adds to the pleasure of playing here, and based on the cost we paid to play this is an awesome bargain. Highly recommended.

Weekend booked with a round each day but the extremely slow play on Sunday (2hrs 50mins for the front 9) made me give up after 9.
Saturday was much quicker but that was because of fair groups in front who would wave through. Despite heavy rain the preceding days, fairways were in good conditions and greens held (when I hit them). Back 9 is quite hilly compared to the front but some challenging holes 15 (Big Dipper) and 16 (Lakeside) quite unique challenges.
I played just better than my handicap which was quite pleasing for my first visit, hopefully will return to the course and the Vineyard restaurant nearby.

The course was generally in good condition but playing off the yellows the Tee boxes are shocking. No place to hit the ball on the level. If this is deliberate then this makes the course more difficult. Bacon roll and coffee for £7.20 was a bit pricey!
