Donnington Valley Golf...we had two three balls on sat .....the course was in excellent condition with lush fairways and tricky greens ....my only "complain" was the pace of play and some tee's did seem in a dangerous place with balls landing to close for comfort !!!

Course is tougher than the length might suggest. The ground was soft in places, so lies in the rough were variable, some courses in the area have much firmer ground and are in better shape. Had a couple of tee shots find the fairway only to blocked off to the green by branches which I found annoying, not played before but now I know the line. The layout could be better, a lot of criss crossing, I think it's because they want the 9th to finish by the club house, but this compromises the flow. Overall we had an enjoyable round and the facilities were excellent.

Played three rounds as part of a society golf break. First round (Saturday) took 5.5 hours which is unacceptably long, but others were a more comfortable four hours for a three-ball. Course in good condition but greens were slow. Closing four holes are challenging and picturesque but a lot of the course is rather repetitive with shortish par-4s running parallel to each other.
The biggest problem, as mentioned elsewhere, is that the fairways are much too close to each other which results in people driving towards players coming the other way. Not a course you'd want to play without insurance, and crash helmets would be a good idea.
Well-stocked pro shop with helpful staff and a nice clubhouse bar serving very good food.

Tee boxes are not very flat. Greens were ok. Difficult course were uneven lies for most shots.
