A problem with a stroppy member hampered our experience, however a scenic golf course with beautiful views and a few interesting holes. Greens weren't great, very inconsistent.

Aparantely they have a brand new green keepers staff, so the course isn't quiet where it should be for this time of year, bobbly greens but that's the I KT negative. Still enjoyed the course

Good course but greens very poor that day
Given the course location the groundstaff have a thankless task to keep it looking as picturesque and playable as they do. This day the greens were virtually impossible to play as they had been spiked to aid drainage after heavy rain.I love this course and will play again but perhaps later in the season so as to allow the course to be dryer and smoother to play.

First nine holes are hard going. Testing course for high handicappers. Club house staff are very friendly..

Course in nowhere near the condition it was in this time last year. Greens seem to be really struggling - used to be some of the best around.

Absolutely soaked, the course held more water than the North Atlantic, it has been raining persistently for about 36 hours though. Greens were mostly excellent and I would play again after a week of dry weather.

Lovely course in the Peak District
Played this course with my golf society earlier this week. The course was in excellent condition. The greens were well manicured and deceptively tricky. A beautiful parkland course with stunning scenery all around. The hospitality in the clubhouse afterwards was first class. I will definitely be backReviewer Rating

Great course
A lovely course set on the edge of the Peak District close to Stockport. A mixture of parkland and rather quirky holes that can be quite challenging. It can be confusing for the first time player as several holes seem to cross each other close to the tee boxes. First time I have played a blind par 3. Course in tip top condition
Played a few times here over the years, but last couple of times I’ve been really impressed with the quality of the course, the fairways and greens are absolutely first class. Round almost spoilt by the slowest society I’ve ever had the misfortune to be stuck behind, obviously that’s not really the Club’s fault but a little marshalling always helps in these situations.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 86 Handicap: 14.8)
