Frosty winter review Jan'22
For those looking for a winter review........Hadn't rained for a while but a very frosty morning. As a result the greens were showing permanent indentations (should be closed on such days to protect them).
1 winter green and astro tee boxes were available.
Fairways were very firm in places, a "bit" wet in others. I used a fairway mat so less of an issue.
Trollies (and buggies) still allowed, which surprised me.
Overall the course is standing up well however.

Derby RAM £15 but 5hr+ round
Start with the positives, greens in good shape and slick NO ISSUES. very friendly members and good set up as said in previous reviews, it's a council / trust set up. US open style rough great for speeding up play, pretty much a reload for my playing partners on the day 23+ handicappers. had lots of dry/cracked/bare fairway lies. 2nd tee 3 groups waiting, marshalls and spotters helped luckily a nice warm day.Small practice area down the side of 18 and 2 new warm up nets, community based club. entrance of the main road near to ROLLS ROYCE don't use postcode and visit the local estate for a joyriding experience.

In great shape
course was in fine condition quick greens and slick fairways. Shame about the youths hanging around down the side of 10. ?15 each was fantatsic value.Reviewer Rating

Good pay-and-play, municipal course, now privately managed. In good condition and greens were reasonable. Did not use facilities, so unfair to comment, hence scored as good.

the course is now under new management and maintenance has improved a little. There was a society match on which meant for some queueing at tees.

played boxing day after lots of bad weather but course in decent nick and only 3 temp greens. £20 for a 4ball on a special offer so great value as well

Good friendly club, very helpful. We had booked a time, but my son was held up for half an hour due to a road closure caused by an accident. No problem they said we'll give you a new time when he arrives.Course was in good condition despite all the snow that had been on it and melted. Fairways had still been cut and greens, although slow were fair. Still using winter tees, wearing a bit. Overall good

Great condition ?. But full the bunkers
Course was in fabulous condition, greens were soft which was great for the heat. The bunkers however were terrible, all the sand at the bottom so every bunker shot was like hitting of concrete. Some very tricky pins that were 4 paces on in places.Reviewer Rating
