Hidden gem

Lovely course well maintained, just reliant on dry weather which is a big problem being located in Manchester, course doesn't drain quickly so pack your waterproof shoes.
I?ll be back again when course is dry.

a pleasant round. nothing to challenging, but in reasonable conition throughout. the course is spoiled by the ridiculous tree in the middle of the former third now 18th fairway

Very humid day to play but still enjoyed the course and facilities.Greens fair and fairways nicely cut.
Liked how every next tee was signposted and was easy to walk the course, very flat but more trees on it then Sherwood Forest

Great course, straightforward from the fairways, but punishing rough and lots of trees line the fairways. Good test of golf. Friendly staff, great pro and a very welcoming course

£12 50 with a member was great value. A well established course which was not easy if you couldnt keep the ball straight. Often tree in way making many shots more difficult. Enjoyable round. Definately worth a visit look forward to playing again

Interesting?

Played Davyhulme Park last week. This was a very enjoyable round on a course which, although short, has many holes where you need to do a bit of thinking. Probably the flattest course I've ever played but nonetheless a good day out.

Standard Parkland Course

Davyhulme is a standard parkland course in terms of it's layout. I thought there was going to be no stand out holes, until I came to the par 3 17th over water with a tree in front of the green, very nice. Other than that, I can't really remember any holes in particular.
It's fairly short, but there are plenty of trees if you get wayward.
Having said all that it is in excellent condition for the time of year & the greens are superb. The friendliness of everyone from the staff to the members was excellent.
I wouldn't rush back, but equally I'd happily play it again.

Always in great condition.

Despite heavy rain the course held up well and in was in great condition (it usually is). Was quiet for a Monday afternoon so we flew round & hand the chance for a beer afterwards (great pint of John Smiths btw!). Always enjoy the variety of the course, it's not the longest so the doglegs make you think your war around in places.

Pleasant course

Always in great condition, a flat short course made into quite a test due to dog-legs/good bunkering. Easy to score well/have a bad day! Welcome in the pro-shop and clubhouse were excellent, as was the food/beer.
