Stunning
Stunning course, stunning condition with stunning scenery. What a fantastic course, up, down & along the side of Winter Hill, there's never a flat lie. Not a course to walk if you're not 100% fit, but we'll worth a visit.
The course is in great condition, particularly the greens, superb.
The pro in the shop was great & all the locals very friendly.
Go play it, there's not a bad hole on the course & if your golf's poor, you can just enjoy the scenery.

Enjoyed the round at Darwen GC
First time at Darwen and I was pleasantly surprised. The cost was cheap and the course in excellent condition. The fairways and greens were well cared for and manicured. The greens were a good speed. There are a number of interesting and challenging holes. Although the course is a hilly it's not as severe or tiring as many. I highly recommend you visit this course.Reviewer Rating

Fabulous Views
Located on a hillside overlooking Darwen, this is quite a hilly course in places but you get rewarded by fantastic views. The course was in fantastic condition - both fairways and the velvety greens. Couple of clumsy shots messed up my scorecard but an enjoyable afternoon.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 91 Handicap: 14.5)

Tough track but worth it.
Played in an open event here. lovely but tough course. nice and open course with next to no bunkers. greens were exceptional even after days of constant rain. tough back 9 as mostly all uphill. electric trolley is recommended. nice food too.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 93 Handicap: 15.7)

Some good, some less so.
Darwen on a Sunday evening had all its good bits- the enjoyable challenge of the course, the great views, the satisfaction of making it up the hills. We got held up for a few moments by a gentleman taking pictures for the website. The greens were running smoothly but very slowly. Unfortunately the round was marred by the presence of two dogs rampaging around on the back nine. One in particular was very aggressive- I knew I carried a three iron for a reason... if that isn't distressing enough, I witness the dogs defecating on the fairway at least twice.
Shame, as I normally enjoy Darwen.

Great course with scenic views over the tower, Pendleton Hill and the coast - bit hilly in parts but worth it. Couple of silly holes spoilt my round but will play it again.
