Always in good condition and an enjoyable walk. Greens always good. Two annoying things, bunkers not consistent with sand distribution and secondly why have the fairways so narrow and short, you can't bump and run onto the greens because most of them have second cut in front to prevent that happening. Annoying.

Looks better than you think
1st time back since lockdown. 1st time not in winter BUT greens weren't as fast as described pre round & fairways & rough had plenty of scope for poor lies. Bunkers were lottery as to which had sand. Maybe a poor round tainted my view but maybe not. Some may note that one player was wearing a tee shirt, & we also had a character disbelieve an errant ball wasn't his despite some very clear marking suggesting the opposite.Reviewer Rating

A nice testing course

Nice course in picturesque surroundings. Friendly staff in the pro shop and bar. Nice patio for drinks in the sunshine afterwards.

In relatively good condition
Recovering from the rains. However trolleys around but big paths to follow to avaoi damagingclose to greens and Tees. Very little sand in Bunkers but playable. Greens quite fast considering but a little bumpy on a few. Overall good condition for the time of year.Reviewer Rating

Challenging course
Nicely laid out course green quite small and pretty quick.Fairways nicely laid out some work needed in the bunkers quite bear and stones expect better for the prices they charge.Also food and drink on the expensive side.Reviewer Rating

The Darenth is a fairly long course, with a good mix of holes, not too hilly. Many of the greens are quite small. General condition of course is good and has great views but the greens are average, maybe as a result of the dry summer.

Holding up well in the dry
As with most places now, fairways are dead but greens a re relatively slow due to watering. Golfers need to be mindful of reapiring pitch marks. Some bunkers, far too mauch sand whilst other bare, almsot to the "rocks" - 14th especiallyReviewer Rating
