The Woosnam is a well kept, well laid out course with many interesting holes. Stayed overnight and played both courses, both worth playing. Staff were friendly and restaurant food was very good.

Great Weekend Getaway
Having played the main Ian Woosnam course some years back I remembered the holes as I played them but i struggled with the lines on some holes as I couldn't remember the lines off the tee on some holes as it was quite a long timeReviewer Rating

Its been a very long period of dry weather so the fairways have really suffered and are all brown and hard. The greens though are playing very well. The greens look like an oasis in the desert!!

Faraway were dry but not bad considering dry spell greens had been sanded put a downer on what we expected but these things need to be done in kindness they gave us a discount on the round for this so could moan thought it was tip of the hat to management for doing so other causes should follow saying that greens were still running well not as fast as you know from past experience but in all a nice day out come September course will be top notch again id say worth another visit then

Great challenge
I played the Woosnam course off the whites and it was quite the challenge. The course is in immaculate condition. The par threes are so interesting to play. The greens take no prisoners.Cannot wait to give this one another go. Highly recommend,

Went with a society. Good accommodation and food. Both courses in excellent condition. New sand in bunkers on Woosnham course. Old course is shorter both very hilly.

Golf club trip
there were 20 of us staying 2 nights ( Friday and Saturday) and playing 3 rounds, 2 on the Woosnan and 1 on the old course. Overall it was a good weekend, the good weather helped.Reviewer Rating

Long grass has been cut so fairly easy to find balls if a bit wayward. Condition of course generally good however some of the Tee's and greens were very lumpy. Very enjoyable thoiugh.

Two very good courses. The Woosnam obviously being the best but the Woodland course is a really good challenge too.

Woosnam was excellent
Played February 2022. Woosnam is a top quality course and often underrated. A great stretch of holes from 5 to 11. It is worth travelling to play. All staff were fantastic. Definitely worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

4 Ball Prize
I won 2 rounds and Dinner, bed and breakfast as Dale Hill for 4 people by reviewing a course recently, we have played both the Woosnam course and the Old Course over 2 days with overnight stay. Well worth doing, we played the Woosnam first, and found this to be a great challenge, and in extremely good condition. I say that as we know they had a few problems a couple of years ago. For winter golf the course was quite challenging, not much carry in winter air conditions. We thoroughly enjoyed the round. Overnight stays great, although one of our number was disappointed that they had run out of bitter! Comfortable rooms, and great food. Played the Old Course on our second day, interesting and challenging with really long par 4 holes that were difficult to reach in two, even for our long hitters. Unfortunately we got a bit wet at the end of the round, but that wasn't the fault of the course! Both courses presented their own challenge. Can highly recommend.Reviewer Rating
