Certainly one of the best courses in Essex, very professional set up from reception and starter, facility's are superb, course is great with superb par 3s, bar staff very friendly, the only criticism is there are areas of out of bounds that still seem to be part of the course where the hazard is punishing enough.

We also played the course on Monday 17 November and although wet in places after terrific amount of rain recently. The course was playable and nowhere near as bad as this guy says

Great course in good condition, some very long holes a lot of water to dodge especially on the tricky par 3's. A very picturesque course set in a great country location.

Played this course on a Saturday afternoon with no one else on it. Was one of the best courses ive played tough par 4's and 5's with fun par 3's including lots of water. Was dear for twilight but worth it.

One of the best courses around this area - always in good conditions even after recent weather. Great facilities and friendly staff. Give it a go if you haven't already.

The tee boxes and parts of the course were still muddy because of the inclement weather in December. The greens were very slow. Decent round.

excellent course nice challenge with some lovely holes a good test for all abilitys i am a new member here and could not have been treated any better, very friendly and welcoming i'd reccommend to everyone.
like all courses very wet in winter but greens are in fantastic condition as are sand based.
as above the bukers and water are in the right places and will catch you out very nice layout.
they are in the process of re-doing all the bunkers and are doing them well, as they have plenty of green staff.

Well kept course
A very well kept course, greens a little lumpy still after winter treatments and are very tough to read with lots of borrows and slopes on every green. There is an outside marquee for food and drink which is heated and the food is very good, would still prefer to be be indoors and not in a tent myself.Reviewer Rating

Nice corse. Some good holes on the front nine , but 5th and 9th greens not great most bunkers on the front nine had cement like sand in them , green speeds inconsistent,£50 a round should have better bunkers

Good Couse for a competent player
The course was in good condition except for the practice areas as there was no putting green available or practice nets.Many of the holes are long especially the 18th and there is plenty of water and sand too making it a tough course for beginners.
The greens are tricky too with several being crowned and on some days the pin positions can be almost evil.
