Poor value for money
At it's best, I'm sure a very nice course, good challenge. However course quite tired, accepting it is late season and no doubt heavy use once lockdown eased, but needs maintenance. Unfortunately greens had been spiked and filled with sand - very unreliable ball tracking and distance. Very slow - 45mins late teeing off early Sunday afternoon after competition, and slow progress. Not good value for money.(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 108 Handicap: 22.9)

Great Course - worth a visit
Very nice course to play even though the greens had just been serviced and were very unpredictable & bobbly. Pins in very difficult positions which made the day even more challenging but a very nice course to lay. And the staff were all excellent(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 95 Handicap: 16.6)

Worth visiting
Great course - much better than I thought and one of the best in Essex. Lots of great holes for all handicaps. Greens where great(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 95 Handicap: 0)

Fabulous course
Considering the dry weather and lockdown, the course is in excellent condition and is extremely challenging(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 101 Handicap: 27.7)

Taxing
Keep playing this wonderful course in the hope it will improve my game, alas, all I get is more frustration. Drive straight, manage your round and putt well you will attain a good score, however, if like me you only achieve 1 or 2 out of the 3 you will be frustrated. Despite poor weather conditions the course played in excellent condition. The food was excellent and staff friendly. Well recommended.

Very good course

Enjoyable early morning round in very pleasent weather, fairways and greens in very good condition and as usual the 4th and 14th caused ball replacement. Will be back again soon

Worth a round
This can be a challenging course with some long holes suited to the long driver. The wind can play a big part as it is open and high in places where it can be gusty. It will benefit from straight line drive as it can be very unforgiving if a bit wayward, there are four holes where playing across water will cause you to decide to 'go for it' or play safe. All in all a very good course, lovely setting and good clubhouse, would definately recommend.Reviewer Rating

Difficult
The key to this course is to make sure you drive straight and hit the fairways, very unforgiving if wayward off the tee, 4th and 14th are tricky par 3's due to the water hazard but all in all a nice course(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 112 Handicap: 29.8)
