Played on the hottest day of the year and the course is absolutely fantastic. Lots of interesting holes but be prepared to go up hill/down dale.The truest greens I've played on this year, it's a hidden gem with great value for money I would recommend this course to all

Played this course today for the first time. Don’t live too far away but this is an hidden gem which I’m so glad I’ve discovered! Staff in pro shop helpful and were warm in welcoming us. The course was in excellent condition despite a few days of heavy rain. There is plenty of character on the course. Can’t wait to play here again.

Course wasn't to bad apart from the greens the keeper hadn't been out in the morning blowing the greens, very disappointing.

What a great course! Played it last Friday on a society day and have ro say loved every minute of it. If you like dour, flat parkland courses this isn't for you as there are plenty of hills but the quality of the greens and fairways were excellent and there are some great views. All the par 3's are a good test and plenty of par 4's in and around 400 yards so you need to be good off the tee to score well round here. The greens were really quick and difficult to read as plenty of undulations and you'll need to putt well to score well. Can't really fault the place and definitely want to come back here before the summer is out.
PS. Word of warning... the S.I 1 is brutal.... about as tough a par 4 as I've played!

Played a couple of years ago in worse weather condition ever so thought give it another go.Wasnt disappointed in the least excellent fairways and really good greens. Pleasant people as well so made it an enjoyable day,wont hesitate to go back again

Worse condition played in ever for wind and rain.
Course played excellent though in these conditions,fairways and greens with small amount of water lieing but caused no real problems.
will deffo go back hoping for better weather.

Royton in the Rain
