r a group booking I would definitely recommend Crews HIll - fair track for golfers of all abilities and not to much of a demanding walk

Great venue

Played this course yesterday and found the experience to be fantastic, from the welcome to the finish we were well looked after. The course was the best I've played in a while, can't fault the course presentation at all, the greens were excellent making putting true. It was a blisteringly hot day and even the sprinklers came on on 18th tee providing a refreshing drizzle! I would recommend this venue to all, excellent society day package with excellent facilities

Solid course, easily reachable with super facilities

Two ball visitor round played Sunday 13:00, friendly welcome (credit to the young man in the pro shop coping under the pressure) good nets and practice facilities to warm up. Member three ball let us through on the first. Good pace of play all round. Greens, fairways and tee boxes all in very good condition.

Front 9 solid if unspectacular until 7-9 holes, back 9 a real treat and a well laid out course posing a fair challenge. Super value for money also. Very easily reachable from Crews Hill Station, 40 minutes from central London.

Hidden Gem

Nice course well laid out, tree lined mostly.Fairly flat tee boxes.Greens very fast.Friendly staff.
Well worth a visit you won't be disappointed.
There is a word of caution regarding the course range markers, don't trust them, they are way off the distance marked. If you have a range finder on your phone/watch i would use that instead.

Very nice course

Nice course layout, there?s plenty to challenge any golfer. The fairways are tight at times, there?s plenty of sand hazards on the fairways and around the greens, the greens are well looked after.

Overall a great course - I?ll be back to play again.

Superb Course

I’ve been going to Crews Hill for around 3 years and I’ve seen a great improvement in their facilities, Pro Shop and newly groomed course with excellent greens. Staff in the pro shop are very helpful & friendly and you sense a feeling of family run. Would highly recommend!

A group of four of family members, all from different clubs are trying to play all the courses in Middlesex. This course therefore on our list and we were very impressed. I think is a great course, well laid out but with fairways still suffering somewhat from last years dry hot spell. However not as badly as some so a credit to the management and staff. This is a very friendly club, unlike some others the kitchen is open for drinks and breakfast as well as further meals and snacks later in the day if needed. Members freely chatted to us enjoying the fact that they could tell us about their club and others we are yet to visit. The bar staff were lovely, Katie in the pro shop very helpful prior to, during and after our game. Everyone very helpful and interested regarding our quest. Greens fabulous, pretty tricky good contours and hard to read some lines first time out.there were two four balls directly in front of us at out tee time of just after midday, they did not hold us up. We had two two balls behind us and we kept up with play without undue hold ups to them completing in 3 hours 40 minutes. It was very hot so we all were maybe a little sluggish, we were a three ball today. We are all over 65 and average but experienced golfers. We lost only 1 ball but sometimes found trouble off the tee. Tree lined fairways in the most part but a very fair test of golf. All round recommended and a great experience. £20 a round with county card.

Second time here, and a similar experience both times..
The course is very enjoyable and well laid out. It’s fairly quiet and full of character. Definitely on the easy side but as a visitor that’s no bad thing.
Condition was slightly below what I expected, still struggling from last summer, greens were decent, bunkers and tees good but fairways patchy. Friendly staff and greenkeepers give way or stay quiet when near a golfer, which is excellent and something a lot of top courses overlook. Flags are colour coded, yardages clear everywhere. Good warm up nets and short game area.
Against all that, and I’m sorry to report this, but once again and in line with others experience here, we fell victim to some very average behaviour by members. Last time, we were held up (not seriously) by a 4 ball but who then felt the need to shout down the 18th fairway a facetious apology.. this time a two ball chipped in in front of our three ball on the 8th, without so much as a word, and then held us up.
As someone who plays a lot of courses, I don’t come across this very often, and it always spoils the experience. If the course doesn’t need or want visitors that’s fair enough, but if you are selling green fees (which of course subsidises members ultimately), then those members should be aware enough to behave politely when visitors are around.

Great course, But !!

I played a society day competition today, we was looked after in Pro shop and hospitality, the greens and landing areas was well watered meaning approach shots stuck, The course is good challenge with sloping Fairways Greens and tight Tee shots, Only needed driver on 1 or 2 holes. Good practice areas for chipping and putting with 4 nets to get swinging before your round. The only downside that spoilt a great day was some stupid member hitting practice balls down the 11th Fairway, He was hitting balls about 75 yards down the fairway on what looks like practice mats or winter tees! he seemed to wait when he saw us but still hit right as i was swinging! not happy as a sliced my drive right and had to poke it out sideways. and then as swung to hit my approach shot into the green a ball cam flying past me, i turned around and shouted and waved but he just kept hitting balls down the fairway it made it impossible for me to hit my shot, after dodging about 12 balls which landed at me, he walked off the tee, but only to get another tube of balls, so i rushed my shot and due to my anger and rush to get going i hit a bad shot and landed in the bunker with a bad lie meaning a treble bogey and the only hole i did not score on, possibly costing me the win for the day. I have never experienced anything like this in the 30 years plus i have been playing golf up and down the country. after airing my disappointment to the Pro i left it at that. This was the 3rd time i palyed this course and each time we have had to play past guys practising down 11 and 12, im not sure i wil play here again dispite it being local and all else is great
