Took advantage of the early evening deal £12.50 after 4pm which was a bargain. The course is in very good condition and is fairly wide and flat so suits most golfers.

There's a lot to like about Crane Valley, especially if you like the fairways to be more on the generous side. Not that this is an easy 18, with a few of the greens protected by streams. The pick of the holes is probably the par 5 17th, with narrowing landing areas, and OB tight left as you approach the green. The short par 3 6th, with a stream running to the front and left, should also get a mention though.

The greens and fairways were in good condition, especially the greens, although the wet winter has left most bunkers pretty bare of sand. I heard that those were due to be repaired very soon though.

The clubhouse sits at the top of the hill looking down onto the course, and on a warm sunny day, such as on the day I played here, it's a perfect place to relax after your round.

Well worth a visit.

Overall, a good course with a couple of really interesting and fun water holes. Greens can be cut a little too short in summer making it difficult to stop a ball that has pitched on. Staff always friendly. Have experienced slow play on many an occasion, so a little more firm but friendly marshalling needed.

Greens were in excellent condition. However the recent rain will not help the course conditions. Check out trolley restrictions before travelling.

So, I was a full member here for about 3/4 years - lovely people play here, great staff etc but in the last year or so something seems to be terribly wrong with the greens. I love a putt or three so greens are very high on my wish list - so I'm afraid Crane Valley is out of bounds for the foreseeable.
In addition it appears many members/visitors are illiterate as cannot read large signs placed around course to guide trolleys away from wet areas that need protection.
Huge pitchmark left by group before on 6th tee, maybe they were so proud of being so close they left it for us to see.
Some temp tee boxes but while badly needed tee reconstruction underway but they are too small. On 15th - driver is needed and there really is not enough room to let the big dog out unless you are adept at playing with heels in mid air.

Refurbished club and course

Played this course several times over the years but it has recently been taken over by a new company who have spent a lot of money redesigning the course (new bunkers and lake) all bunkers have been updated too. The clubhouse has also had a makeover, there is no pro shop as you would usually find, check in is at the bar where you can purchase the usual small items.
The course is of two halves, one with trees lining many holes the second nine more open. A good test of golf, worth a visit, I will be back

Crane was looking good in the sunshine with the Fairways and Green's in great condition, some straight holes mixed with the difficult ones make for an interesting round for the mid to high handicaps.
Great afternoon out.

Disappointing. At the time the green keepers were heavily cutting the rough, grass cuttings were across fairways and fringes of greens so the ball was frequently slowed.

Nice clubhouse and facilities. Course quite immature. Many holes were 'field like'. Bunkers needed more sand. Too many overhead cables. Greens good - fast and undulating.

Good course however it could really do with some yard markers to show 150 yards to go etc. Also some of the tees are astroturf which isnt very nice to tee off from in my opinion.

Very nice course, although I will need to play again as I had a terrible round
Fairways were in excellent condition, the greens were super-fast but a few had some small divots and bumps, some very nice green designs though with plenty of slopes and undulations, plus well positioned mounds, bunkers and water hazards guarding them.
Front 9 is quite flat but the back 9 got tiring having to haul my trolley up the hills, hiring a cart would be well worth it.
Looking forward to the next time now that I know the layout.

Nice flat course which will suit the higher handicappers amongst us, but beware the short par 3 sixth over the stream as it can be a round wrecker. The course is in excellent condition and is well worth playing if you are in the area and cant afford to play Remedy Oak!!!!!

Played last week when it was very hot, and Course Marshall came round the with drinks, a good idea in that heat. Greens are running fast and true. The guys in the pro shop were friendly, and gave us vouchers for discounts in the bar. RESULT!!!
