Nice Track despite the weather

Played here as a guest, not played since it was Cotgrave Place so amazed how different it was previously. There is still a lot of work taking place including some on the course but this did not take away from the round. Played the Championship, (previously the Open I think) course. Considering the previous weather we had had the main course fairways and greens played well with the greens really catching me out as they were a lot quicker than I expected, and my playing partner. The course now plays in a slightly different direction than I remember but I thought it worked very well, with some holes certainly making you "plot" your way around. Would certainly play here again and would recommend to all. The clubhouse is refreshing in that golf shoes can be worn which makes life a little easier as well as more welcoming. Food and drink very good.

Ok, it's good value

We played the inner course with lots of lakes and ponds. It's fun and testy, hard to score well because of lots of hazards.
It's quite short, not one for the longer drives

A tale of two courses

Played the championship course which felt like two different courses joined together. The first 9 has plenty of greens protected by water. The second 9 is a lot flatter and longer.

We played both courses over three days, The Masters course is the shorter course, with some weak par 4's. There are some long walks from one green to the next tee. The course has smooth greens, not very quick but a consistent pace. The Championship course has more interesting holes; however there is a lot of water on the first few holes. There are some tough holes where distance judgement is important. The landing area's off the tee are narrow, whereas there is space around the greens. Good fun course for a nice price.

Club is having some good work done and is full of green keepers working which is nice to see. Is in no way worth the £40 T time requested so use websites to reduce this.

Wet and Windy, course played well but l didn't, blew up on two holes 9th and 17th should have looked at the stroke index more carefully !

Two tricky holes .... you do need to get your line exactly write... otherwise you suffer !
