What a difference a year makes.
Played last year in the long hot spell and vowed to come back when the course was greener and in better condition.Not disappointed with the course, very disappointed however with my golf that did not do the course justice.
I always feel one of the signs of a good course is that you can remember the majority of the holes as they are all different. Copthorne does fill this criteria in spades.
It is a course you do either need to play several times to tame it or have a very good course guide on your GPS as there are several ditches and streams around to catch the unwary.
All aspects of the course were very good, tees, bunkers and greens were all in great condition.
The greens were devilish fast when we played have some ‘interesting’ borrows and undulations to test your putting.
Good service in the pro shop. Very good bacon butty to start but have to say disappointing Scampi and Chips for lunch. No veg or salad and suspect cooking oil not hot enough. But I am being really picky!
Good practice facilities but some are across the road from the clubhouse.
Cannot wait to play it again next year on my golf tour.

Played three tomes recently. Great value cod sing a busy road not good but the traffic lights are efficient .I like the layout and would recommend this to anyone

Nice course well maintained. Would help if the fairways had 200yrd and 100yrd markers. They only have 150yrd markers.

A very nice parkland golf course, greens in great condition with some tricky little holes with lots of doglegs where proper golf shots are needed. only 20 pounds for the guest of a member so would defiantly play again!

Good place to play if you can manage it. Most people were very welcoming and the course itself is top notch. The only reason I didn't give it the full 5 is that the greens were heavily sanded and there were even 2 temps - a touch disappointing for mid-May but the pro shop did tell me about it. That didn't massively detract from a very good course though.

I am now a member here. Before joining I played many courses locally, but this is a traditional type of club. I have been made very welcome by everybody I have met and played with. The course is undergoing changes to make two of the par fives holes significantly longer which should be open before the end of the year. The 17th is also a new hole.

Played this on a rare deal, otherwise quite expensive. Course condition excellent, bunkers had sand in them and mostly raked. greenkeepers were busy. Got round in just over 3 hrs with no delays. Will look forward to another offer and play again as soon as there is one. Very friendly and helpful staff everywhere. Brilliant.

Lovely course, quite flat so easy on the legs compared with others in the area! The older holes are spectacular. Greens fantastic.

A Barclays Charity Golf Day for Cancer UK and Brainwaves. The course was excellent nick, the greens where perfect a top day all round thank you very much.

A very friendly, easily accessible club set in pleasing countryside close to Gatwick. A good round can be had but you have to think your way round. The course is well maintained and a warm welcome will be found in the 19th.

Hadn't played here for a couple of years. Course was in excellent nick on our society day. A good challenge with the odd change to the course since I'd last gone round, notably the 2nd which is now a par 5 (prev 4). Greens were good and course had drained well despite recent rain. Easy walk as very flat. Excellent dinner post round.
