Friendly staff disappointing course.
Greens were really poor and although the club house and setting are spectacular rural and mountainous it was not what I expected. Staff were friendly and it was great to enjoy the livestock and scenery.Reviewer Rating

Nice course, and always welcoming. Not much rain lately, so course very dry and hard, with unpredictable bounces.

English Lakes
A nice course with amazing views of the lake district and Scottish hills.Quirky holes ,luckily the sheep are well protected as you have to drive over them
very hilly, a buggy would be a good idea.
Course was in good condition, paid more than quoted on the phone otherwise a good course well worth a visit

A very good course, relatively short yardage on the card but protected by tiny greens and the Cumbrian weather. Recently refurbished clubhouse and friendly members and staff makes it worthwhile hanging around after the golf for food and drink. Excellent value and well worth a visit.

tricky course, good challenge tho. poor weather but prob normal up there . was not what was expecting put it that way. give it a go tho for the views alone

Lovely course with great views. Greens are true. Alot of blind holes though so you need to be accurate or end up with bogeys.

Nice setting on top of a hilly area a few miles out of Cockermouth. Early holes not my personal favourites but after 3rd some interesting and challenging holes. Nice greens which run true and on the number of occasions I have had the pleasure to play this course, the fairways were generally in good condition. There were a couple of wettish holes.

Nice course with stunning views
Really impressed with Cockermouth GC, friendly welcome by members. Limited practice facilities. Course is high up and open to elements so pick a nice day to play. Only a couple of steepish climbs particularly on hole 3. Course is decent nick for time of year, holds off the rain well. Greens good again for time of year, some quite small but being a shortish course makes it that little more difficult. A couple of drivable par 4s, risk and reward holes. But best of all are the views to be had on on clear day, simply stunning. So if in the area well worth a shout at more than reasonable green fees. Would certainly play again.Reviewer Rating

What a delightful course this is. The greens are fast, true and in great condition as are the fairways and tees. It’s very tricky in places with many unsighted shots, sloping fairways and OBs waiting to trip you up. The is no sand on the course but there are ‘bunkers’ with long grass to try and avoid.

Really enjoyable course. On the top of a hill with great views everywhere! Course is quite short yet still challenging with some great holes.

Not the longest course but challenging in other ways, views are some of the best i have ever seen. Ideal for all levels of golfing ability. One of the best courses i have played
