Stunning location

Bunkers require several tons of extra sand in each, greens need proper attention and protection from the livestock.

My absolute favourite by a long chalk

This course has well groomed fairways, fast greens and wonderful views. It's an honour to share the beautiful landscape with walkers and riders. The golf is exciting and revealing yet by the 18th, I've had enough for the day.

A truly hidden gem. On arrival, the place didn’t look anything special and as we found out, the course conditions were a little rough around the edges but those are the only real flaws.
A really fantastic, links style course, played way up on a hill top with the best views of any course locally by some distance.
Some really quirky holes which get you talking. Course knowledge isn’t essential but definitely helps as there are a lot of blind shots but markers are well positioned.
The course was riddled with sheep poo but that’s ok as there were none on the greens.
The head pro who welcomed us was absolutely fantastic. Greeted us with a smile and even followed us to the first tee to give us a bit of course information.
Overall, a really really fun course to play. If I lived a little closer, I’d be a regular visitor.

Cleeve hill first visit

Paid ?25 and had a 810am tee off...minor niggle that no one was there from the club so could not get a scorecard (a member luckily had a spare)...that aside it was a superbly scenic course and when a helicopter is going past at the same altitude it tells you how high you are...greens were in decent nick and although more signage ref next tee,150,200 yard markers would have helped we would go again, the terrain not for the unfit though...

Xmas Eve bonus

Fantastic round, what a view from all around the course and considering all the rain & bad weather it was a real treat to play on dry fairways. Well worth a visit

Love this course- and got my first Hole in One!

What a super course. 17th December and such firm fairways. Hardly any mud on my clothes or gear which is outstanding.
Love the views and although it is wide open for hitting driver on most holes the short game is a challenge. Many elevatd greens with steep banks and run offs so the biggest challenge to your chipping/short wedges I have encountered in ages.

It is a must play. the views are amazing.

Oh and did I say I 'aced' the 15th. Superb hole over a quarry. 8 iron wind assisted boom!

I sincerely hope one of the bids is successful to keep it going after March.
Old Tom Morris will be turning in his grave!

Such a friendly pro in the shop too.

Can't wait to go back £16 is a bargain. 1/2 the tees were on mats but who cares when you play on such firm fairways!

Do it before you die !

We played the course on a beautiful day which showed this wild course in all its glory without the wind making the golf too difficult.
The almost 360*views from this course are worth the ?15 green fee alone.
Of course the greens are not perfect but what would you expect of a course virtually on top of a small mountain.Go & enjoy - it may not be there for much longer.

Wonderful experience - thank you to Dave and Hugh for their warm welcome.
What a course - I have never played so many holes where you're unsighted off the tee -a true inland links test - will be going back for sure. Fair course with very few uneven bounces.
