Solid Ok course. Bland start but certainly improves as you hit the middle order and into the back 9. Greens well looked after. Staff and members are v.friendly

The only thing that let the club down was being made to wait at the first Tee for over 40 minutes after being told by the pro shop that we were off after the 3 guys on the tee were away. We were not told that the 3 on the tee would then allow 2 4 balls and a 3 ball to tee off before them. When the 3 musketers were asked what was going on, they replied that they were all members and a competition was under way. All this after a very scarcastic explaination of the ball rack system for tee off order, which it seems only works if you are a member with attitude. No need for it really, and a pity, a very well kept course, especially the green with a club house that is second to none.
Perhaps we caught the 3 members on a bad day!!!!!!

Lovely course in great condition, nothing to dislike from tee box to greens all excellent, clubhouse staff & food excellent too, had an awesome day there.

Clacton Golf Club
We played this course at the end of summer, as most courses the course has taken a bit of a beating with the hot weather. The greens were a nice pace, the layout is good with varied holes. Personally I would dig up the 17th green as it’s a bit extreme. All the staff were friendly and it was good value for money. I did like the fact there were rules about the dress code (but not over extreme.)Reviewer Rating

Nice course
Nice course, challenging at times. Condition of course in good condition considering the weather we've had.Only problem I had was adding my scores to Golfshake the SSS & Stroke Index were different to the scorecard.. so that's needs looking into.

Good course by the Sea
