played this course late april with a society of 40.. the new club house was lovely and that's were it stopped the course was not my cup of tea at all.. fairs where in poor condition, course was just plan boring .
food in club house was inedible . would not return or recommend

A Great Course in Need of some Drainage
3rd time I have played this course. Twice in summer & once in winter. I would not advise a visitor to play this course in winter, leave it to the locals. Please visit it in summer as it has some truly great holes. The course is in need of some serious drainage.Reviewer Rating

not at its best
It ticked a lot of the what we dislike boxes today....booked on line as i usually do, but not sure i will do that again as no option to use county card and also no info to say half the course is off mats, most of the greens have recently been tined and sanded and the very nice index 3 par 4 17th is a temporary par 3 !!!

Driving range i had to go get my own balls which posed a little health and Risk issue , as a first timer , the directions to the next holes could be bettered to not cause confusion

New holes need to mature but a nice course. Would happily return. Their twilight rates after 2pm is good value

Greens were good, course feels 'squeezed' in, you have to be careful where you walk or risk getting hit from blind tees. Clubhouse from the 70's. Friendly staff though in pro shop and bar.

worth a visit
was on the winter course so some holes a bit shorter par 70 rather than 71, but in good condition, greens very slick and tricky, which was surprising given the time of year,Reviewer Rating

Well maintained and challenging course
Working away for a few weeks, and to my excitement looking at the location of the Premier inn to which I'm staying to discover chippenham golf course situated behind the hotel. So of course had to get booked in for a few evening rounds. Fast greens, challenging to read but enjoyed testing my abilities. Only thing to disappoint my experience was that I was playing on my own which allowed me to catch groups, to a member infront saying to me "I would let you pass but its busy". The next group was over a hole ahead of them. They let me pass on the 16th :/.Reviewer Rating

Very enjoyable
Despite very heavy rain over the last 2 weeks, the course was in good condition. No complaints about the greens - very fair and true. Nice course! Thank you.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 89 Handicap: 15.9)
