Enjoyed but has its faults
Despite the considerable amount of work underway on the course and seemingly stifling encroachment of the garish multi-millionaire properties that encircle the course, our day at Chigwell was really enjoyable. This owed much to the layout of the course – both playable and challenging – and the welcoming nature of the people. The starter was a lovely man, the staff were friendly and the members chatty. The club seems to have made a conscious effort to be much less stuffy – certainly more relaxed than when we were last there, 8 years ago.I sincerely hope the club survives the ardent ambitions of its neighbours who seem intent on expanding their own little empires and choking this golfing oasis on the London / Essex boarder.

Enjoyable course
Quite hilly but in good condition. Well laid out with some interesting hazard locations requiring correct club selection.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 97 Handicap: 18.1)

Very good course and club
Course in excellent condition. Greens rather slow, but probably due to recent weather. Superb club house. Excellent staff.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 93 Handicap: 14.8)

A great course would recommend anyone to play there. Was on a society, and found hospitality great. A warning though....if in shorts, you must be wearing white socks

Nice course

Really good course. Great value on open fairways. Greens very well kept. some good holes. short but need good iron play of some tees.

Course was very good, it rained heavily but the course was well drained, some tough holes, long par three's. Staff and the Pro were very friendly.

Great course I like it here. Used to play when I was a youth, good memories. Newly re-furbed clubhouse, makes the world of difference. Had a very good full english after the round. Pro is a gent!

WAS A FEW ISSUES WITH THE LENGTH OF THE ROUGH IN CERTAIN AREAS BUT WAS NOT HITTING LIKE NORMAL, JUST SEEMED A LITTLE LONG TO EVEN GET OUT THE EDGES OF THE FAIRWAY.
