First time we have played here, and although we played the course back to front an enjoyable day and well signposted in general. Plenty of run on the fairways and most of the greens were true. Pleasant lady in starters hut keeping us in order and social distancing.

Interesting little course
This course has some interesting holes, where club selection was key, and knowing your way round would be an advantage. Course maps at the tee boxes or on the scorecard would have helped, thankfully someone had an app which made it a bit easier. We played the course back 9 first, not sure if this now the way the course is played now?(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 15.8)

Interesting course. Front nine not the most interesting, but holes on the back nine are more various and challenging

Beautiful Course... Cant speak highly, we played the course after some fairly heavy rain the week before and the greens ran true and even though the back 9 is very hilly there was very little accumulation of water and the fairways ran more than I would've expected for the waether! TOP CLASS!!

Absolute gem in Oxfordshire!
This course is an old favourite and I returned for the final round of a two day trip.The driving range was closed on the day I visited but the putting green was in excellent condition and the bar was open and they accommodated an early tee time for me too.
The course is excellent and the greens are very well kept. Some tight tree lined fairways will challenge those who can be wayward with their tee shots.
I look forward to returning again.

2 sides, Soggy leaves every where
First 10 are reasonable holes, second 8 over the road has been shoe horned into a, space not big enough for 8 holes . The 11th par 5 is a blind run along the edge if farmers fields and you don't see the green until the last 40 yards. A right angle left dog leg hole, always a, sign of a, course that has been poorly designed , and the final hole is a joke.About a 30 yard wide strip to aim at over the water to drive at before a right turn up the hill 45 with degrees with out of bounds either side. Lay up and play like a part 5 or 90% chance you lose your ball trying to drive. A really grumpy receptionist who later popped up behind the bar made it even worse experience. You can't drive at the driving range. There was no did absolutely at 3pm. Just a, sausage roll.
In autumn the ground is too wet, every ball plugs, even around the greens. The slow greens were like putting in cement.

Nice vourse

Course was drying out so the grass was much longer in places. Some of the greens were worn with bare patches. It was hard work with a push trolley on the back nine, but limited buggies available here.

A course of 2 halves
The front nine (Middleton) was nice enough but a bit uninspiring, but the second nine (Chacombe) was much more interesting and enjoyable to play and a bit tougher, even though we scored better on it. Greens were great. Bunkers good and well maintained. Clubhouse OK.Reviewer Rating
