2 sides, Soggy leaves every where

First 10 are reasonable holes, second 8 over the road has been shoe horned into a, space not big enough for 8 holes . The 11th par 5 is a blind run along the edge if farmers fields and you don't see the green until the last 40 yards. A right angle left dog leg hole, always a, sign of a, course that has been poorly designed , and the final hole is a joke.
About a 30 yard wide strip to aim at over the water to drive at before a right turn up the hill 45 with degrees with out of bounds either side. Lay up and play like a part 5 or 90% chance you lose your ball trying to drive. A really grumpy receptionist who later popped up behind the bar made it even worse experience. You can't drive at the driving range. There was no did absolutely at 3pm. Just a, sausage roll.
In autumn the ground is too wet, every ball plugs, even around the greens. The slow greens were like putting in cement.

Greens were poor, not a fan of the front 9 layout it’s too tight and a lot of blind tee shots (not always a bell to ring). Back 9 better but expect more for the money we paid

The course was in poor condition due to rain before and it seemed to have no drainage. The greens played incredibly slow and there was no indication on where the next tee would be on the course.

Course was drying out so the grass was much longer in places. Some of the greens were worn with bare patches. It was hard work with a push trolley on the back nine, but limited buggies available here.

Not a bad knock

Played here as an addition to the society I play on, course was in ok condition some strange OB ruled up and down tree lines but got to play the course as it's set up.

Felt long going out and then very short coming back in.

An attractive, parkland course with plenty of trees, Not especially difficult but it has a couple of 'sneaky' holes. The greens look deceptively flat and you may find yourself doubting your eyes and/or your sanity on some putts. Nonetheless the greens run true and you can tell the regulars because their putts do what they expect them to (more or less).

Well maintained, plays all year round but they do use temporary greens when there's a frost. You can get puddles on some greens during really wet periods but they usually drain away if it hasn't rained for a couple of hours.

Nice course, not played for a couple of years. Trees are now more mature, and give better definition to the course. Quite short in yardage, but some nice holes where taking he driver is not the best play. Prefer the back nine to the front as I feel the holes have more character. Played on a twilight ticket, which was good value, but think normal visitor green fees are a light high for this level of course.

A good course with a mix of hills trees and water. Greens are a bit slow and could do with a couple of mil down on the mower. A down side on the back 9 is that 4 of the par 4's are drivable which leaves a sense of it being it bit too easy. That said there are plenty of challenging holes and none more so than the 18th which requires an acurate drive not to spoil the card.

nice course. A very tricky par 3 11th hole followed by a long par 5 12th that will make you or break you. The par 4 18th has a tempting tee shot over water that is closer than you think. well worth a go at, but has out of bounds all the way up the right hand side.

The front nine (Middleton) was nice enough but a bit uninspiring, but the second nine (Chacombe) was much more interesting and enjoyable to play and a bit tougher, even though we scored better on it. Greens were great. Bunkers good and well maintained. Clubhouse OK.
